    Learning the stuff

    Hey!

Ok I jst wanna say that I love this website! It's so fun! Lots of stripper newbies like me!
I reeeally want to get into it. I'm sure it would be a blast. I think I have the body, but I def don't have the moves!! Are there any like DVDs or anything that teach lapdances or stage moves? Not those workout ones, but actual instructional DVDs for beginner strippers? I'm going to go round the SCs and check out the other dancers, but it would be good if I could study up at home too.

got a full length mirror? I started getting used to it by just posing, and seeing how my body looked best. First in bare feet, and now with the shoes. So, then it's just moving from pose to pose, until you get used to it.

later, add some music, voila. beginner moves.

Skyline services has several "how to strip" videos out. I rented them in my local porno movie store.

Also try Carmen Electra's strip tease aerobics videos for moves. And a neat book called The "S" Factor has some awesome stuff from basic strut to advanced pole work.

Thanks girlies. I think I'll go with the carmen Electra ones first and see if I can get some moves from that.
Paris is that you in the pic?

Carmen's has some cute moves, but you'd have to slow them WAY down. She does them too fast to be used on stage (IMO). However, you would certainly stand out from the other dancers!

Ditto Paris' suggestion of the S-Factor book. The dvds are okay, but I find Sheila Kelley a little annoying. Still good for overall moves though...

I really like the Pole Katz dvd for pole tricks as well.

    Good luck! Kat

To give you a bit of the male perspective, don't get too hung on on "moves". I know being able to perform well is important to a dancers self esteem, but remember us male custy's have a slightly different agenda - we go to enjoy the view.

    It's perhaps as important to

    (a) Move in a way that you show your body off to it's best advantage

    and

    (b) learn enough about body language to sell the illusion to customers that you're enjoying dancing for them and find them personally attractive.

Many dancers don't actually dance - they tend to move slowly and gracefully around the stage, (or wherever), ensuring that customers are able to get a good view, and making a fair bit of eye contact, (which is a flirtation signal).

The way your personality comes across will probably be a more imprtatant factor that having the "moves".
