Sorry if I jumped you too quickly. That little ribbon under a persons avatar is pink or blue.

How many people have reproductions of major art pieces hangin on their walls, or have the same paint scheme on their homes? Millions. If someone likes something and they have the funds and desire, why not? I have 3 kanji's on my body and they all mean something to me. I'm sure people all over the world have the same kanjis, and I don't care. If you want it, get it. Be aware of the risks and health issues; but make your own decisions. I love people who sound off about people with tattoos. It's like we're almost classified as idiots because we chose to do that. Just because you wouldn't do it doesn't mean we're bad people. We just like to decorate our temples a little differently.

I live by the same philosophy as Dave Mustaine. When he was asked if he would ever get a tattoo he replied "Never, you don’t put a bumper sticker on a Mercedes-Benz"
Dave...what a putz. This quote from a man whose best work was when he was sober (Rust In Peace) and destroyed his own body with heroin needles. Great guitarist, miserable philosopher.

Anyway, I too, had Dave's philosophy about tattoos until recently, when I came upon a tribute to my mother, based on a Celtic Catholic cross. I have the design selected (though it requires some custom modification) and it will cover the majority of my back but I probably won't have it done until she passes on to the Other Side; she'd be mortified if I did it while she was still here.

Ironically, needles and blades terrify me.

i personally like tattoos on guys, my boyfriend doesn't have any but the guy on backup does. I agree that the tribal and lower back tats are too popular, but then again ppl could say so are my tats. I have a butterfly and a shooting star, but both mean something. the butterfly is in memory of a family member and the shooting star is something that me and my best friend got together to symbolize our friendship and what we've gone through in a year...
