    Licensed Stripper

The Texas Law Says That Dancers Have To Wear Latex On Their Nipples And Full Bottoms If They're Not Licensed. You Have To Have A License To Dance Nude Or In A Thong...i've Been Very Tempted To Get A License Because I Believe That Licensed Dancers Make More Money Because A Lot Of Costumers Prefer Girls With No Latex On Their Breasts...however, The Only Reason That Holds Me Back From Getting A License Is It Goes On Your Background And Credit Report And Even If You Get Pulled Over For A Traffic Violation It Shows Up. I Don't Really Know If It's A Good Idea To Get It After All...i Plan On Dancing For A Long Time, But I Won't Be Able To Do It Forever And I'm Not Sure If I'll Be Able To Find A Decent Job When The Background Shows That I'm A Retired Stripper....

How in the heck would it get on your credit report and criminal background? You might want to double check that....it doesn't really make any sense. All a license is is a peice of paper/card saying that you agree to the State's rules and paid their fees. Big whoop.

Maybe this is a dumb question....but why do you capitalize every word you type...except for the words that are SUPPOSED to be capitalized? It makes your post a little bit awkward to read Just wondering.....

In general, dancer's licenses which are issued by a local city or county authority will not be added to statewide/national databases. This means that while the info does become public record, and the info IS available to anyone from the IRS to ex-husbands to prospective employers who make the effort to go looking, the info is not likely to 'automatically' appear out of nowhere in a general database inquiry.

The only reason for concern in this area is if you now dance in a particular city, and plan on staying in that particular city after you retire from dancing, thus seeking a 'straight job' with an employer located in that city and seeking financial services from a bank located in that city. In that case, it's highly likely that local employers, banks etc. will routinely check local licensing info.

Not all cities in Texas require that dancers have a license. I work in Dallas and we do not have to do any form of registering or background checks.

The way clubs appear on your credit report is if you put them down when try to apply for an appartment or get a car.

I am lisenced ... it's just the law in this county of Florida. And even so, we have to wear thongs with a triangle in the back (not just string) and little band-aid like things on our nipples. Yes it worries me that it's on paper anywhere that I've worked as a dancer and future employers could find out,... but I doubt it.

from the outside you can't understand it, from the inside you can't explain it.

As I said earlier, anybody who puts forth the effort to go looking, and who also knows where to look, can easily turn up your dancer's license information. Fortunately, most city and county dancers' licensing authorities do not bother to add the info to statewide/nationwide databases, meaning that the info won't show up on a standard inquiry. If a potential employer is from another county/state, and does NOT know that you previously resided in the particular county where you obtained a dancer's license, they won't have a reason to check records there.
