    Default Dancers your opinions needed

Well I have a difficult question. I've been to a lot of SC's and I would say that I have had a lot of fun. I tip well to the girls onstage, I get dances etc.

One thing that I have found is that I have had a lot of girls at the clubs tell me I look like LEO (Law Enforcement Officer). I am not quite sure why.

Could it be because all I drink is bottled water?
Could it be because I'm a strict professional by day?

Could anyone comment and let me know why the gals would think that and also do you avoid gentlemen who don't drink alcohol??

Post a picture. We will tell you if you look like Leo or not. (No, never mind, you don't.)

It's not about what you drink. It's not about your profession. It's all about getting you to spend money. Dancers are very, very good at this. Exceptional, really.

Gorgeous, smart and sexy. Don't you just love them to death?

If it is a busy Saturday night, and I am used to hustling a bunch of drinkers, I might feel a little different when I finally get the guy drinking bottled water. I feel that he may be more likely to reject a cute line I give him or something. Especially if alot of the other guys were drunk ,and constantly accepting my dance offers.I still approach him though. I would not avoid the water guy, I may get more nervous though.

what in the world is leo? Are you referring to the starsign or is this an acronym for something??

I thought at first you meant they thought you looked like leo dicaprio! Maybe I'm missing something here??

I would imagine stop dressing so nice when you go out if they think you are a cop. throw on a pair of jeans, leave your badge at home, and throw on a t-shirt with a funny saying like "chicks dig scrawny pale guys"

    TJ.

    From a customers perspective:

Yeah, I've noticed that I get different reactions, obviously, depending on how I dress that particular day, regardless of the fact, that I've been to that club, and only that club, several times now.

My advice: "Dress for the occasion." If you want to be taken seriously, dress conservatively... Want to seem approachable, wear shirt/t-shirt and a pair of jeans. They'll see you as an approachable "regular joe". Just don't wear those polo t-shirts, with light blue jeans...If so, they'll definitely think you're LE.

It's amazing to see the different reactions. This happens to me wherever I go. I try to learn something from it.

Example: I've noticed that when I wear a suit, people think I'm "arrogant and full of myself" though I direct NOT a word to them. Perhaps it has something to do with confidence levels.

Dude if you're wearing a suit to a SC at 11pm thats just wrong. nice shirt and pants can be handled but not a suit.

now i have worn a tux into a SC, thats only because thats where we went after prom, because prom was boring. but i had my dates with me in their dresses. we had a good time.

    11pm?

Heck, I'm in bed before then.

Usually I go to the local SC early afternoon...Sometime after work.

However, you do have a point... Don't go to a SC wearing a suit after 7pm. You'll definitely feel out of place.

I did an experiment a couple weeks ago in Vegas. I went to a SC with two of my co-workers who are definitely not as attractive as I and watched them get SLOPPY drunk. It was amazing how the women flocked to them! Even better, we all wore the same type of clothing, I ran the tab and even wore a Rollie and ZILCH. I think that night I personally spent about $1800 in the club and $200 of that was in bottled water. I even paid for multiple lap dances for my friends. But to no avail the women flocked to them like I was the stinky turd of the group!

^ I thought he meant Leo Dicaprio, too. First time I've ever seen "LEO." Vice, narc, heat, UC, even five-oh, but "LEO?"

To answer the original question: it's not the water. Vice are so rarely in clubs that it makes no sense to profile a customer like that. The dancers can speak much more authoritatively on this than I can, but in most clubs you will find that an (alcohol-) drinking customer is perceived as being easier to sell (and some clubs have drink sales quotas for the dancers). On the other hand, there are dancers who like the water-drinking crowd because these customers are often lower-maintenance, less handsy and more respectful.

BTW, did you ask any of the girls for a dance? I'm told that works really well.

    Um, ARE you a LEO?

I think it would be pretty funny if you WERE a cop coming here trying to figure out how to blend in...

I wonder how many cops DO read this site? Things that make you go hmmmm...

You aren't "giving away money" you are purchasing a service. Do you walk into the barber shop and just sit there until a barber come up to you to ask you if you want a haircut? Then do you say "I'm waiting for someone else"?

    Back on topic:
Digipix, do you have a mustache? That is a dead giveaway for either LE or active military. Just a mustache is very out of style right now, but it is also the only facial hair allowed in these professions, so for some reason guys still wear them. Combine having a mustache with drinking only non alcohol beverages, and you have a sure fire way to get ignored in a club.

I have an uncanny way of reading people to the point that it is almost a parlour game with me now. I tell the guys that I am the psychic stripper and then proceed to tell them all about themselves! I still haven't ever gotten busted, or even come close, so I must have more then luck going for me.

I don't think it's the water. The fact that a guy bought a beer does not mean he's not vice. A lot of police dept.s allow vice to order drinks. You say you're "strict professional" by day. I think that persona comes across as LE at the club.

Well, in this case, it's not "giving away money," of course. It's money offered in exchange for a service.

(Quick observation: You would be surprised how much asking is required in actually "giving away money" -- for people, charities, animals, events or, well, other things you passionately believe in and wish to support. Otherwise, how can you determine the real need? But that's another thread.)

I suspect your point here is that you like to be approached and sold by dancers, right? That position I understand completely. Until a few months ago, I had never, ever, ever been ignored in a club in my entire clubbing life. Ever, ever. When it finally (and inevitably) happened, I was so shocked that I just broke out laughing. First time for everything. That is the reason I wrote, "I'm told that (asking for a dance) works really well."

Now these are the guys I LOOK for on Fri Sat nights when almost all you've got is sloppy drunks... gimme the guy able to walk a straight line to the back, those tend to appreciate the subtlties of the dance more anyhow.

THis topic is a little off for the norm in my club though... the guys in suits tend to get attention right away. I have regulars the would/could wear suits into the club and they tend to dress way down, they say they get hustled less and enjoy themselves more with the girls who won't overlook them right away because they don't "look" like money . I dunno, just a thought.

I adore it when a guy walks by and (if I'm chatting up someone else or waiting by the ATM for a previous custy to pay me) asks "when you have a minute, come see me please". I can still 'sell' mister a dance by giving some intro talk and flirtation, but it's clear that he wants a dance to begin with. Or he just says "Could I have a dance?" "You most certainly can!" You bet I'm gracious to those guys. I understand men like the attention of being approached, but if it's busy, I'm busy, and you want a dance from me, please! some indication would help! Don't assume I'll make it over there...Until I develop some of that stripper psychic power, a la Paris.

DIgipix, if you are former military, especially Marines, you probably still have some military bearing. In other words, they way you carry yourself makes you look like a cop.

I am former Army myself, and I can spot a former marine or career soldier as soon as they walk in.
