    Default Stretch marks

I am a very small framed girl, 5'3", 98lbs, 34c(implants). Here's my dilemma, I was hospitalized about 2 years ago for a lung condition and I was in the hospital almost 2 months and I lost almost 25lbs, hence the 98lbs now, anyways I now have tiny stretch marks on the upper part of my butt, they are not bad, but visible. My butt is tight so I don't know how to get them to go away. I run 2 miles every night, work out for 2 hours every day and have been for about 2 years and they still don't go away now I am very self conscious about them and I want to dance very badly. Should I stress out over it or do you think it will go unnoticed? Do any of you girls have stretch marks or cellulite and if so, how do you deal with it? I don't want to be worried about it every time I take off my clothes to dance. I will get pic posted soon so you can see what I am talking about. Any help or advice would be great. My whole body is as toned as it possibly can be so I really think I am over thinking this.

In the dim lighting and black lights of a club no one will ever see them.If someone happens to notice them odds are small that anyone would say anything.Plus most men are smart enogh to realize that women have stretch marks.I wouldn't worry about them.

Thanks for your input, I am not too worried about it anymore b/c today I realized that they really aren't even visible to the naked eye, but since they are on me I am way more aware of them then anybody else. Thanks again.

Sweetie, just look around the dressing room one night when your getting ready and you'll realize most girls have stretch marks, you are definatly not alone. If your really paranoid they sell some kind of cream to make them less obvious, but I just ask the DJ to keep the white lights off I have really bad stretch marks on my stomache from having my baby and noone even notices.

Almost all of us have stretch marks, cellulite it is just part of being a sexy woman I think.

I have noticed what works well for covering it up somewhat or making it less noticeable. Sunless tanning lotions / sprays or moisturizing skin with lotions, oils make it less obvious. I even noticed taking baths before work makes those things less noticeable too for some reason.

There are so right about lighting (in clubs) the best thing ever invented it hides flaws that we all have. Good Luck XOXO

Thanks everyone for your kind words. I went today and they didn't seem to notice them at all, I got the job on the spot. It's still reassuring to know that I am not the only one who thinks or even stresses over this sometimes. Thanks bunches.

Get a good lotion/ balm in a tub, not a pump. Even Avon has some good stuff if you are trying to lighten them. Using the lotion once or twice a day will help them be less noticable within 6 months.

a girl i worked with had so many stretch marks on her boobs they looked like they had rivers running through them, but she was the highest earner at the club for a long time. if you're really worried, cocoa butter can help fade them (and it smells great!!).

and as for cellulite, i don't think i've ever worked with a girl who didn't have at least a little bit of cellulite. it's really not that noticeable in a club though!

A few things I've heard of....

Creams (obviously). Things like Cocoa Butter, Alpha Hydroxy, etc. can help reduce the appearance. Look on google to search for different finds.

Make-up. Different stores sell concealer specially made for the body. Sephora or Ulta are some that carry it.

Chemical peels. I've heard they can do the trick on light stretch marks. I've got a package at home I ordered and am going to try it in a few days (for a few scars). There are different types of chemical peels. Salons and doctors' offices charge A LOT. So be aware of the cost. Some small businesses carry there own stuff and sell it at a much lower and more reasonable price. They give you easy and understandable directions to help you along with the process.

    Good Luck!

There are many different "levels" of chemical peels. Lower intensity ones are safe to do at home. Obviously the ones that cosmetic surgeons put you out for... well leave that stuff to professionals.

If you aren't as toned as you could be and have stretch marks, will toning up the area that they're in make them go away?

Yes, toning up will help. It did mine. I swam alot, it helped my girls perk back up to where they were when I was a teen as well as reduced the appearance of the stretch marks on them. Drinking lots of water also helped. When I started dancing I did not allow myself to drink on shift. I would go thru at least 5 water bottles a night.
I used a cream stretch mark fader as well as this little tub of cocoa butter twice a day, right after I showered. I also found that tanning ONLY once a week helped. Also you have to be careful; if you tan stretch marks that are less than 6months old it makes them worse (redder).
Keep them well moisturized, drink lots of water, and excersize!
Toning up your body will ultimately be the best as it will reduce the size of your stretch marks.
Like I have said before, AVON has great products to reduce stretch marks (& cellulite & firming products). It only costs $10 to become an Avon rep. and you make that back in your first order. Then you can sell it to girls you work with, it's not a big money maker but if you use it and find other girls who do to, you'll see the value in being a rep.

There is a prescription cream that is supposed to be very good called strivectin. Will even get rid of stretch marks that have been there for a while. Supposedly it doubles as a great wrinkle cream too.
