    Childrens vitamins?

I like the way they taste but can they be safe and effective for adults as well. I hate swallowing stinky pills that make me taste it like 20mins later from burping it up and such.

Does anyone take childrens vitamins or if anyone knows if they are safe and effective for adults too?

Have you tried the flavored calcium chews? They make them in choc, strawberry & caramel. I got them in the multi-vitiam a couple days ago. These might give you a better balance with taste!

I'm sure they're safe for an adult. They probably just have less of certain vitamins, like iron. Vitamins are just supplements anyhow so as long as you already eat healthy I don't see any reason why you shouldn't take children's vitamins.

It tells on the bottle what the daily recommended amount is fo rkids under 4 and adults. I just glanced at my son's vitamins. I woudl have to take 2 of them to get 100% RDA of everything that is listed there.

I take flintstones vitamins with extra calcium, since im a girl, lol... the only thing they didnt have enough of is folic acid, so i reccommend a folic acid supplement if your diet lacks it... oh and theres no iron in childrens vitamins, because if children get a hold of them and eat all of them, the iron is poisonous... so i would reccommend making sure your diet has iron in it, but you can get iron from most of the same places as folic acid

True! I remember when i was having hair loss and freaking out. I went to see a doctor (i was around 23) and he sent me off for blood work, looking for thyroid problems mainly he said.

Everything came back fine. He asked if i take any vitamins i said nope can't swallow those big things.

He told me it would be fine to take TWO flintstones (sp) vitamins daily.

I have this written in another thread around here i think, about the flintstone vitamins. Damn if my hair did not stop falling out (guess a heavy shed..lol) But i felt alot better, so maybe i needed something as i was dancing far too much then and holding a regular job as well.

PS i would ask you're doctor however, not sure if they changed anything in them.

I take Centrum Kids complete multivitamin--it has iron, folic acid, and Spongebob!
    2 a day, a couple hours apart.

Since I started taking them I stopped getting headaches(I'm anemic) and they don't make me throw up like the adult vitamins.

the first 3 months of pregnancy i couldn't keep my iron or prenatal vitamins down so the doctor said two flinstones vitamins would work. and me and my son are healthy as can be (he's two now) so i guess they worked
