I know you girls are probably sick to death of my questions, but every time I turn around I have something else to ask. How do you achieve that "smoky" look with your eyeshadow using darker colors......grays, browns, etc? I try all the time, but can't seem to make it work and I really like to play up my eyes.

Liquid brown eye shadow and black pencil, smudged carefully with a q-tip. Lots of mascara

The most important tip you can ever get about eye makeup is blending, blending, blending. If I don't blend my eyeshadow right, I end up looking like a paint-by-numbers. I take one of my knuckles and rub gently until there are no hard lines around my eyes. Or I use my ring finger to blend (because it has the weakest muscles and won't hurt your eye).

The easiest way to do smokey eyes....
Put on your eyeshadow as usual, darker colors of your choice (purples, browns, whatever..) Line your entire eye with a black pencil liner (NOT liquid). Make the liner heavier in the corners of your eyes, and draw it out past your lashes. Finally, using the darkest shade of eyeshadow that you already used, smudge the liner with a q-tip or a brush. Re-apply the eyeliner if needed to define the line.

    Hi,
First line the eye and smudge. Then get 2 eyeshadows - 1 lighter (base colour) and 1 dark. Apply the light over entire eyelid, then the darker shade - starting at the inner corner of the eye and apply outward. THen lots of mascara and curl lashes.
