    Default poles at home?

i used to work in a club with poles and was fantastically toned, but since leaving i've found that i just can't find another exercise to hold my interest like poledancing did and i've lost a lot of my muscle tone.

i've been looking at the fully removable poles you can install in your home (we can't have one up permanently, because both mine & my boyfriend's parents don't know i strip!). does anyone have one of these? i want to know if they cause any damage at all to the ceiling. my boyfriend won't let me put one up in his house unless we're sure that it's not going to damage the ceiling in any way!

I was looking into the same thing. Nothing permanent. But they all require some sort of bolting it looks like. THey need to be super sturdy, so they'll at least press into the ceiling. What about those ones that have a fake fire alarm to go over the bolt when you take out the pole?

Both Lil Mynx and Platinum Stages offer poles which require no bolting into the ceiling. They use friction mounting only. I have a PS pole and love it. It's easy to install, study as hell (can do any trick I want), and doesn't damage the ceiling. I believe there is a XX Pole offered on ebay which is similar as well.

Check out the other threads for more details.

the pole i'm looking at getting is the first one on this page

friction mounting, does that mean that it stays up by placing a lot of pressure on the floor & ceiling?

I have a XXX pole here at my house that doesn't bolt to either floor or ceiling. I got it on Ebay after seeing a link to the seller in the pole sticky thread at the top of this posting section.

My XXX pole was ALOT cheaper to buy compared to the Lil Mynx or Platnium poles too

I haven't learned to do inverted tricks yet but I have been doing spin and slide moves and my pole feels plenty sturdy to me.

is it true that the friction mount poles can come loose if you do really enthusiastic tricks?
also, i know there's a removable pole (the lil mynx?) that attaches to a plant hook you put in the ceiling. when you're not using it, you could just put a fern or something there.

also, aren't these poles bad for popcorn ceilings? does anyone know?

The Platinum Super Pole either multi or 1 piece has very wide base and ceiling mounts (that don't need to be actually mounted into the floor or ceiling) to make it as sturdy as possible. The poles are available in a mirrored stainless and are completley seamless. Email me if you have any questions, [email protected]

    Thanks!

Seeing that Darcy lives in Austrailia...what would you estimate the shipping costs to be?

go to google and type in stripper poles. it'll show you everything on the market. i researched for a year then went with a permanent pole from gocrown. there is also www.partypole.com i went with permanent cuz it's the cheapest and the sturdiest option. but there's alot of folks out there that talk about thier removeable poles on the web. and they seem pleased. i'm sure you'll find something. just do your research.
