Default Are your work places helping in the relief effort?

One thing that I am very proud of working for the company that I do, is that when a time of need arises, they meet the challenge.

The company has challenged us workers to raise $10,000 for the relief effort and they will match our money, dollar for dollar, up to that $10,000 mark.

So I am going to hold off on my donation so I can make my $100 actually be $200.

Are your places of business doing anything like this? Is there anyway to challenge them to meet a donation amount?
I've heard that a good signiture sets you apart from everyone.
    Well......is this good enough???

I went to several different stores around here and none of them had any kind of "Katrina Relief Fund" going. I even asked about it and the answer I got was, "Well, we may do something like that." WTF? Needless to say, I most likely will not be back at those stores.

We've already sent money...we're donating furniture when the time comes...Scorpio's work is raising money...hope we can do enough.

My corporation has a dozen facilities in the Gulf Coast area, including two large NASA sites (one in Louisiana, one in Mississippi) that were hit by Katrina - I know quite a few people in Mississippi as well, as most of them came from the San Francisco Bay Area. FEMA is setting up a command post at Stennis Space Center, MS, as well as an emergency shelter for the displaced employees & families there.

They've established an employee assistance fund, with an initial corporate donation of $1M. I'll be donating to it through payroll deduction for the next couple of months, and also plan on donating to the American Red Cross.

My day job is doing it, since we're owned by Viacom. They are doing an initial amount and matching what employees donate. Even the grocery stores here have little buckets for the relief effort (which is good, because they also have slot machines... gotta love Vegas!).

2 of my 4 jobs are. My retail job hasnt given us the details as to what and how yet, just that they are going to help... and my security job is sending us there to help with riot control.
