    WWW Dancing in the UK?

I'm going over to the UK soon and was wondering if anyone has danced in any of the smaller clubs around the country. I'm especially curious about the Spearmint Rhino in Harrogate _ I hear it has recently been refurbished??? Anyway if any of you girls has any insider advice it would be much appreciated - I would love to know how much money there is in these clubs as am hoping it will fund my travelling!

    hi bianca welcome

the best site to check out is check the forums there for up to date info on the UK scene. most memebers here are from the US, although there are a few around with UK experiance.

when are you planning on going? as its coming into winter soon, and i hear that is usually a bit slower then summer.

theres a few aussie members in the UK right now,do a search of this part of the forums to find more info

I just got back from the UK. I only worked in Brighton for 4 days and it was very quiet there (which is why I left,) although the club was lovely! I got the impression it was quiet times in alot of the clubs whilst I was there (3 months all up...) I don't know about up Yorkshire way as I was in the South East. Alot of the London clubs already have around 100 girls working each night plus high house fees and some of the smaller clubs already have enough girls but might put you on a sort of waiting list - but with no guarentees. I don't know if other cities are so congested or not. It might be an idea to email or ring some of the clubs now and see what the situation is as I found nothing is done quickly over there! Have a back-up plan incase you can't find work or incase you do and don't make good $!!!

Also keep in mind Britain is expensive! Aside from the bad exchange rate alot of things cost the same in pounds as they do in $ so your basically paying about 3 times the price for alot of basic things.

I worked in London for 4 years. But this was also about 4 years ago. The Harrogate and Heathrow branches of Spearmints weren't very good. The Tottenham court road location was excellent money. Also try a club called Venus on Farringdon road.

Oh, just remembered...There is a club called Legs 11 in the northern city of Birmingham that was awesome to work at!

^^ Legs 11 is good. It's the oldest club in Brum (Birmingham) and has a very well established reputation. The Rocket Club in Brum is also good for money, but they have astronomical house fees, which get higher the later you are for work (it's a hidden fine).

Metropolis in London is OK too, but most of the other clubs in London are saturated with girls. Stringfellows is no exception, although I hear they are planning on opening another club in Soho sometime in the very near future. A new club normally always means excellent money at least on the opening week as everyone wants to see what it's like so keep your eyes (and ears) peeled.

I also wouldn't forget to check out clubs north of the border. There are some excellent money makers in Scotland (Edinburgh is stag capital and Aberdeen is oil city - both are good money havens). Glasgow IMHO is not as great, but 7th Heaven is apparently not too bad, and they have VIP facilities there so you have the potential to make a money.

SR Harrogate has been sold to Wildcats and refurbished.

Contrary to the previous comments about the Summer being busier than the Winter, its the other way round at most UK clubs - well from now til Christmas is the peak time usually - and then Jan/Feb are dead quiet in lots of places.

Stingfellows Soho isn't opening til Feb (I think).
