Default Question for Tampa area dancers

I've only been in Florida for a year and last year Ididn't work the end of Sept until the beginning of November due to morning sickness. Anyway I hear so much about the season and was wondering when the season officially starts in this area. Or more officially when I can plan on making more than $50 a day

Yay only 2 more months to go I'm so stressed right now, I quit the club I was at which had the most earning potential, but I couldn't stand the BS there and have not been able to find another club with any kind of decent money. I was hoping the season would start sooner but I may have to swallow my pride and beg for my job back <--- god I HATE doing that

I really wouldn't be too worried dear.

There are plenty of clubs in Tampa. You should try Mons Venus, the money those girls make makes me green with envy.

$20-30 for dances, and $20 at the door. You do the math.

Bliss Cabaret. Its a really nice club but I had to deal with a lot of BS there and just got sick of it all.

Another issue to be concerned about in Florida is the new statewide law that gives Police Officers the authority to cite what they deem "lewd acts" Hasn't been enforced except in the New Port Richey area, but it could happen anywhere...

yea.. i know for a fact mons is suffering too.

I worked at cristine's for a little while before it changed to bliss... (that is it's name right?)

There was always decent money there. But a lot of bs, you are right!

Tampafldancer, when did you work at Cristines? I started there last September and stayed when they switched over. Actually the drama among thedancers pretty much stopped (but I also work day shift). Theres just a lot of problems with some members of the staff and management that the dancers would seem to get stuck in the middle of.

Ever thought of going across the street? Many Monsgirls go there. The club really has a lot more $making potential if you can get them into the $$$rooms and there is actually less going on in those rooms due to rooms being full of cams and miked for sound. It's worth a try. Also, my best friend works @ Ybor Strip and is happy there. She says it's slow everywhere too. Good luck; football season is here and it'll only be a few more weeks of HELL! Keep plugging along; I know how monotonous it can be walking around in circles @ MV- I worked there for 5 years myself. I feel your pain. hey, it's slow up here ...maybe they're all saving their $$ to go see you down in FL!

Well I sucked it up and called the manager at Bliss and begged for my job back. His response "I didn't even know you quit" - -- I'm going back there next week. After working at other clubs this week (and walking out of Diamond Dolls yesterday after watching a girl stroking a custys crotch while SITTING AT THE BAR) I decided I can deal with a little drama.

Emily1015, I did go to Personalities yesterday but was told in order to work days you have to work Sunday nights which I can do once in awhile but not all the time. Also I was only in there a minute but is there a girl who dances by Mandy that works there? She's known for causing a lot of problems and has gotten fired from Bliss twice.

DancerNTampa, I felt the same way as far as just not liking it the first couple times I went there. There are many tools they use to really help the girls make good money there. You will see many familiar faces there and if you do go they'll probably ask you what took you so long! Seriously, there's a lot more potential there and the hostesses and Mgrs will actually introduce you to customers w/ fat wallets and sell the rooms FOR you. All you have to do is smile and look pretty and play along. It's really a great setup over there. Try it out for a week or two to get the hang of it. Once you know all the ins and outs of the setups there I'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised. I'd still be working there if I didn't accidentally sock the Mgr in the jaw (I don't remember but that's what my best friend told me). I guess I shouldn't have been drinking the Petrone at Bennigan's . Anyway, hard lesson learned...that was the best $$making club I ever worked at besides Mons in it's heyday. Good luck whatever you do.

oh god that stuff will kill you! Last time I had it I ended going to Mons with some guy from my gym I hardly knew and I have NO idea why we decided to go there. He was just driving me home and next think I knew I was sitting next to him while he was getting lap dances and I was text messaging people with all kinds of loony misspelled shit. Last time I will ever drink Petrone.
