A good friend was recently telling me to buy one of these. She loves hers. She doesn't use it to lose weight, but just to maintain her weight loss from before. She (since like 3rd grade) was at least a size 20, but she used tae bo and a decent diet to drop like 8 sizes and she uses to gazelle to maintain what she lost. I think she does an hour every other day. Since I don't know what youre goal is, I wouldn't even know how long to suggest.

It's a low impact exercise, but it also doesn't burn that much calories per time spent. You'd be much better off getting a treadmill or a gym membership.

I believe it was consumer reports or popular science/mechanics that consulted doctors on this machine. They said it puts the body thru some uncomfortable movements that could be harmful.

To solve your problem walking can be just as effective as running. And not has harmful to the body.

I have one, and I absolutely LOVE it !!!

I have it in my living room (though it folds up for storage), and I hop on it whenever I have a few moments...it's fun (the gliding sensation reminds me of swinging on playground swings) and low impact.

Depending upon how strenuously I work it, I can get a nice cardio boost (for energy) or a good, sweaty workout.

The only thing I hated was that I had to assemble it myself (well, I could've had someone doing it, but I wanted to use it that very moment...impatient girl). It was a bit overwhelming at first, but I bit the bullet and did it...took about an hour.

I have it, I love it, and it's not uncomfortable at all!
I noticed a great difference in my first two weeks! I have more energy and it's actually fun to do. It gave me a more defined tummy, a bubblier butt and my entire body is more toned than it's been in forever.
I wish I had pics of before and after, but all I can say is that it's a great machine for it's money.
Please don't lick me, it tickles..
