    Default Areola Tattoo

I'm not sure what got me thinking about this but I'm jealous of girls with bright pink nipples. My nipple itself is quite pink but the areolas are kinda faded out. I did a google on nipple tattooing and found that it is really common with women who have had breast reconstruction. So, does anyone know anyone who had had this done? Would it hurt like hell or WHAT? Any comments? Think I'm Crazy?

My nips and aerolas (sp?) are really light too. But they get a little darker when they get hard. But thats ok, cuz i dont like dark nips and either does my bf

I think it would be less expensive and more comfortable to use nipple rouge (it's out there.)

The idea of someone jamming a tattoo needle in my aereola makes me faint. I'm sure there's a better solution....besides, breasts are supposed to look unique. Airbrushing has screwed up the ideal of the human body, which is, unique.

Personally, I prefer lighter colored nipples to darker ones...if I were you and was really self conscious about it though, I'd go the route of the tint rather than having a needle come anywhere near my areolas.

we have to wear latex on ours so my light nipples look weird anyway. (actually it's "puffy paint" remember that from the 80's?) I wouldn't want to go through the scabby healing phase of a nipple tatoo personally...try makeup first.

Benetint is a great nipple rouge.

wrt the tattooing, my friend just got her lips done a darker pink and it looks beautiful and subtle. The results on a nipple would probably be just as good, color-wise. That is, if you can stand the discomfort.

I just remember the words of a friend who tattoos in St Louis in regards to tattooing. NEVER FUCK WITH YOUR NIPPLES! I forget why though I know it was something nasty. I'm sure it can be done successfully, but be sure to find someone who specialises!

I'm just curious how that would work, because wouldn't your areola get all puckered up and hard the second a needle is poked into it?(shivers) Wouldn't it be, well, hard to tattoo, at least evenly, while hard?

Anyway, my vote is no if we're voting. Women's milk ducts, etc, in breasts get infected all the time just through daily life, let alone through tatooing. Also, don't know if you have or plan on having babies, but I don't think nipple tattoos would bode well for nursing. Just my 2 cents, Benetint sounds like a better idea.

I think when they tattoo women's nipples for breast reconstruction it is because they have no nipple left. They are basically recreating a nipple out of flesh and they tattoo the color to look like a nipple. Ouch! I'll stick with my little adolescent looking nipples.

Bunny is right; they aren't tattooing a "natural" nipple but rather tattooing the image of a nipple on regular flesh.

Just put some blush on there.

    That seems more sensible.

for photo shoots i rub a little sheer lip tint on them to brighten them up. you could do that. and if you get one that tastes bad, it helps discourage the mens from thinking they're lollipops when you dance! also, spray it with aerosol hair spray (i'm serious) after dabbing blush on it and that will set it and keep it from rubbing off.

When I used to self tan with a lotion, I would do my entire body like regular. Then the next day, go over just my nips again with a second layer. It would make them a little darker and more evenly colored, but in a natural and un-rub-offable sort of way. Then I would touch up before going on stage with a light blush to add some pink to them and fill in any leftover uneveness.

If you like you can buy belly ring tattoos and put them around your nipples. Its fun , and you can change them everyday! There are several retail outlets you can get these from , but if you want to buy in bulk check out (they are in california) or (these guys are in florida) or you can check out ( she has a low minimum and free shipping! )
