    Default Customers on stage

So I was on stage last night and a lady customer was dancing at the edge of the stage like she wanted to come up. She was not nice looking (not to be mean but it's true) and I don't really like to pull girls on stage so I didn't even approch her area. There were three stages going at the time so I figured she would just go to another one. Instead, she gets up on my stage and starts dancing on one of the back poles without saying anything to me! I asked her "Do you work here?" and she didn't say anything. So I told her sorry I like to dance alone and she finally got off. Very weird and I thought it was odd that the bouncers didn't do anything because I looked over at them w a weird look on my face and they ignored me. It threw off my routine and probably lost me some dances later. How would you guys have handled this? Jenna

In my club if security or the barman doesn't come and hurl the customers off stage I've seen the dancers and waitresses do it themselves, lol.
If the other staff were ignoring it I would have just given her a clap and a cheer and encouraged the audience to do the same, then said "Fuck off now please" and helped her off the stage.
And if that didn't work I would ask a couple of big burly blokes in the audience to help me drag her off.

I hate it when this happens, but have found the best approach to be to let her have 30 seconds of fame (clap and smile for her) then go over and explain its club rules that she's not allowed up there. You may lose some dances from other customers, but you may get some from the guys she's in there with.

I've never had that happen where I work! I would feel really freaked out if a female customer tried to get on stage with me...
If everything you try is a sure thing, you aren't taking enough risks. If you never fail, you put a limit on the degree to which you can succeed. In short, the only way to win big is to risk losing

I think that's incredibly rude of her! It seems a bit limelight seeking. She shouldn't have been trying to distract you or your customers - I think you handled it better than I would!
Hello btw everyone- This is my first post: I've moved from Mypole to here as it has closed down! Lovely to be on here! :-) I posted as Ticklish on there. I've just realised that there was a Polegal on there and I've nicked her name. Not on purpose. Ooops.

She needs to come back on AMATEURS NIGHT.

IDEA --- If there are many of these, amateur night could become profitable for the club (but maybe not the existing dancers). The club could charge say $10 for 2-3 songs, but the audience would determine is ANYTHING should come off, which would be voluntary in the amateur dancer's part. It would the become a sort of Gong Stripper Show; might get some audience appreciation (beauty, talent, or ridicule). Some amateurs who shouldn't be up there, will be seemingly immune to audience appreciation. Those wil be the funny ones. I know it seems cruel, but some people just don't GET IT. Maybe this idea would help them.
I loved going to strip clubs; I actually made some friends there. Now things are different for the clubs and for me. As a result I am not as happy.

Customers are not entitled to grope, disrespect, or rob strippers. This is their job, not their hobby, and they all need income. Clubs are not just some erotic show for guys to view while drinking.

NOTE: anything I post here, outside of a direct quote, is my opinion only, which I am entitled to. Take it for what you estimate it is worth.

    ^^^ Awesome idea man!

I'm going to have to bring it up to my boss tonight.

I have had it happen to me before, I calmly walk up to them and say that's unless they work there they don't need to be dancing on the stage since it could void the clubs insurance. And if she won't get down, the bouncers will remove her not only from the stage, but from the building.

OMG....I absolutely hate when women crawl up on stage with me...sometimes it even p*sses me off when one of the other dancers do it...if i want you on my stage i'll ask you to join me...if not sit down and enjoy the show...I dance in college town and I constantly have drunk girls out with their boyfriends, that get so out of control...Nothing irritates me more than having them just crawl up on my stage!!!
