I knew this was coming. In august the Sin City DVD came out and boy was it bare bones. All of about two seconds of extras. I didn't buy it because i just KNEW a better one was on the way from the fan milking studios.
Well, i was right.
December 13 the recut version hits the stands and it's gonna piss some people off. A lotta people bought the original DVD to own the theatrical cut since extended versions don't usually include the theatrical cut. Well, this one does. All the people who bought the original, shitty, version are gonna be foaming at the mouth... They basically got ripped off. Expect to see a lot of copies of the original on ebay in december. Thank god i put the old DVD burner to use rather than buying the original version...
- 124 minute theatrical release (Thiss will piss some folks off)
- the 147 minute extended cut.
- Both will be presented in 1.85:1 anamorphic
- commentary with director Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller, a second commentary with Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino and a third commentary containing Austin Premiere crowd reaction (

- 17 uninterupted minutes of Tarantino's segment

- four featurettes on the cars, special effects make-up, costumes and props.
- a featurette on how they convinced Miller to assist with the film.
- another featurette on casting (anyone wanna bet me that Jessica Alba plays the "tee hee i didn't know the character was a stripper" card in this).
- a featurette on Tarantino as the guest director.
- trailers.
- bloopers.
- an interactive game.
- Topping it all off will be a complete Sin City graphic novel (The Hard Goodbye) which i already own, dagnabbit.
