There is a barrier for every typw of sex at the place, I have interviewed Dennis on the KSEX Radio show and we talked for a while. THey do have better testing than the porn business, in Hollywood we are only required to be tested once a month, at Hoffs place it is once a week.
That's what i could never understand. Porn. I mean people get tested, but isn't that kind of putting the cart before the horse? because if you test positive while after doing say a few hundred scenes, you're out and sick, perhaps dying with AIDS....I don't get it.
Pamela
Bunny ranch will not let you work until your test results are back.

Don't you have to get licensed as a prostitute to work at the Bunny Ranch? Wouldn't that affect future career options?![]()
Chrissy, did you used to be in MT?

are you going to be able to serevice every guy that comes in for you?...imagine the biggest oldest hairiest smelliest guy.....do you still think you can do it. do you get tested every week or do the customers? how do you know they are safe? what kind of security as far as your safely is there? I mean true I guess you can always leave if you are not happy, I just wonder if you can walk out so easily. and the advertising can anyone see it ?
Please dont take this as me critising; I am concerned for you, and beleive me it sounds tempting even to me and I have sworn to never sleep with someone for money, I just wonder if you have really thought everything through . Are you going to be able to live with yourself a year from now? what kind of reflection will this have on your career in the long run....just curious. I wish you the best in your decision, and hope everything goes well.

Speaking as someone who actually owns part of a legal brothel, there is definitely the potential for the ladies to make excellent money. And, its a job. Its not like its going to fall into your lap. While the key is regulars (just like in a SC), they can definitely be hit or miss, and the lineups are a necessary evil.
And for those who say that giving up 1/2 to the house is too much, speaking as the house I disagree. We provide the safe, legal environment for the ladies to work, have gone through extensive background checks to even get licensed in the first place and are responsible for making sure the place stays open. All of that takes money. And that's where the 1/2 goes. And if the ladies do well do we make a profit? Of course, and what's wrong with that? Aren't the ladies working to make a profit themselves?
As to the moral judgement as to whether to do it or not, that's up to each individual. Obviously I wouldn't have invested if I didn't support legalized prostitution. At least we're calling it what it is instead of calling it a VIP room (and yes, I know I'm making a broad generalization, but we all know it happens in some places) and the ladies don't have to worry about customers coming in under false impressions. People know they are there to screw for money. I'm not saying any stripper can or should be a prostitute, just that if you're open to the idea, it doesn't make you a bad person.

Only aspect that concerns me is checking out the customers health. I understand that the girls have to be tested weekly, but what guarantee's that the customer is safe? Do you just have to rely on condom protection?
Chrissy, i wish you the best of luck when you go out there also!
I support legalzied prostitution.
When I worked out at Frias I had to meet quite a few of the guys going out to the brothels. Cabbies would come back to the yard to fill up with gas, and grab a spare. Normally these guys would drive about 4-5 guys there. And when they came back the cabbies would tell me they would drop about 2-5k each. normally the driver would get about 1/4 of it depending on which brothel he went to. And half would goto the woman. What do you expect in a place that you get to live at almost free?

Before a lady can engage in any sexual activities with a customer, she has to do what is commonly called a "dick check" which is a visual inspection of the customer's genital area to make sure there are no sores, cuts or lesions. If there are, then the deal is off. Is is a perfect system? Of course not. And at the same time it's probably 95% or more effective.Originally Posted by Silky
Chrissy, I think that you should do it. You seem like a grounded woman. I just wouldn't get caught up in what HBO shows on TV. That is probably why you chose the Bunny Ranch b/c it is famous. I love that show, and i can understand why someone would want to go for the lure of the money and the constant party. They are only showing one side on TV. I actually researched it after watching the show. You will never know unless you go out there, I think it will be something that you never forget. Just be careful. Eventhough they make u get tested, nothing is fool prove, do you really want to put yourself in that position? I guess I am somewhat of a conservative stripper, Dancing is one thing, prostitution is another, I know that many girls do extras. I personally could never sleep w/ someone for money, I don't care how much it was. If u can u probably will make some good money. Please take xtreme caution............Good Luck !
It seems pretty safe if you are using rubbers and getting tested a lot. I mean, a rubber is close to perfectly safe if used correctly.
I have seen Denis Hof interviewed. Maybe it's just me, but he seems like kind of a dick. At least he comes off that way.
Not until you mentioned it here. It does seem tempting. I am looking at all the sites related to it right now. V. interesting. Jenna
I appericate everyones comments so I guess to answer a few of them....
1. If some smelly old guy wants to wants me and I don't, you set a price high enough you know they won't say deal. The house does not punish you for turning down a customer because they know another girl will take him.
2. Yes you need a license to be a prositute in Nevada, do I think it will affect my future jobs, no becuase it will come up just like my dancing backgroud will on my taxes.
3. I'm more worried about girls having one night stands in bars than me catching something at a brothel.
I guess the thing that made me think about it was I see all the extras going on in my club on a normal bases, the bad thing is I'm a pretty clean dancer. I think everything has a time & place, and an HJ in the back of a dirty club is not the time. It has always made me wonder why these girls would do some of the times they do for so little money when if they did it legally they could be making 5x's the money, not to mention its illegal.
I am really intertested in fetishes so I think this will help me look at them more closely.
Also I noticed that everyone was worried about the contraction of an STD, but what about porn.... don't they have the same odds?

Will the license you get specify that it's brothel/prostitution related? Or will it be a general "business license" that you could attribute to something besides legal prostitution.

In porn, isn't everyone that engages in the sex undergoing the same std testing on a month to month basis? If so, then i would personally say the odds are different. If we are talking about some amature company, where testing is not mandatory for everyone, then I assume the odds are the same.
Regardless, I support the sex industry whether it be brothels or adult porn videos.Power to anyone that does it, is happy, and makes their money.
And no, i do not understand why a chick would choose to perform her extras in a club, instead of a legalized brothel making more money. I always wonder the same thing. Maybe they do not want to come to terms with the fact that they are actually prostituting, or cant get to a brothel, or like to stay "masked" as an exotic performer.I wish they would though, it would make for a more clear distinction between services provided in a strip club and a brothel.
Oh yea... and i am all for being both a stripper and prostitute as long as they are occuring in different establishments . =)
Its a sherriff's card just like Vegas
well, I wish you the best, and make that money, I do have to agree with you one hundred percent wiht the girls who do extras and sell themselves short. Please do let me know how it goes and what you think of it afterwards. I am thinking about fetish and dom personally ...I still do not know if I could go fullservice but who knows right. I am no one to judge. I read one girls profile where she makes 250,000 + a year and I thought holy cow....why couldn't that be me.
Do they rally pay in the thousands?..and is it like up to an hour as in a session or is it til they feel like leaving? do they ever take you out or is it all in house? do you get breaks in between ( like if you're sore) I don't see this being someting I would be flying out to but I would like to know how it all works ..who knows maybe I could open one of my own...just an idea or curious I guess.
wow, how exciting. I've thought about it, maybe not Bunny Ranch because I don't like the celebrity clause. I just recently started having sex, like literally 2 weeks ago, so I'm thinking 2 years from now.
I don't know about this license. Someone was wondering if that meant it would be public info what you did. I don't see how it wouldn't be, if it says Moundhouse, NV or something. That's the one thing something that would hold me back. You look really pretty I'm sure you'll do well. Also remember though that you have to pay rent which is $19 per DAY. I would set that aside beforehand to make sure you know what your profit is. Security concerns me, you're in the middle of the nowhere, the management sides with the custy, the owner is questionably decent/rude. But it's 8 days of your life and you'll never know until you try. Can't you tour the place before?
There are something like 500 girls, only the most seasoned and well known faces appear on Cathouse. You don't have to go on there.

I signed up for a trip here also. I am going the first week in November. Wanna chat about it, or what dates are you going? It'd be good to 'know' someone else going in!!
I watched Montel Williams yesterday (yea i know, but i was home) and he had a chick on from the Bunny Ranch, and the Owner. I understand it changed hands a few times. This guy seemed nice enough.
He showed the place inside, and a few ladies. I just gotta say, the woman on Montel was very nice, looked to be early 40's? Late 30's? Can't tell, she looked tired, actually.
Anyway, after hearing them talk about the place, and what the girls can make yada yada, i don't think i would do it.
Montel did not ask 'bad' questions, he was cool with it. So that was not it.
I guess it's just that i kinda had a feeling that perhaps the ladies are screwing the owner as well. (i know strange feeling, but still i had it by the way the acted)
How a fuggly man can come in and pick you out of the line-up. Whew. Dunno.
Seems like a short lived job because it's a life that makes you tired.
The owner even said the ladies make $$$ based on the amount of work they do.
Pamela
i have been fascinated w this place (not wanting to work there or anything! just sort of intrigued) since watching the original hbo special. i agree most of the girls look tired and don't think it's one big touchy feely sorority like the show portrayed. i'll bet you'd have to work A TON to "get rich". yah the owner, dennis hof is kind of repulsive , im not sure what the women saw in him.
I'll be there Nov.17-27. PM meOriginally Posted by RainFallsDown
Dennis is one of the nicest guys in the world, I have flown out a few times to make sure its what i want to do and it actually is like one big family. What does looks tired mean, not all done up in make-up like we are use to seeing people on TV or in the clubs? These are some of the sweetest girls I have ever met.Originally Posted by SthnrnGrl77
