I've noticed girls dancing with these strange blank faces. They could have the hottest moves yet look like they would rather be sleeping! Is this a trend? What's up?![]()

I've seen that a lot too and I use it to my advantage. I'm not a great stage dancer, but I smile and make lots of eye contact and they really notice because no one else is doing that.
at my club too some girls get up on the stage and look so bored and depressed... i always try and smile too... it goes a long way!
I admit I am guilty of that sometimes. I try to smile and look happy but I get really self conscious if noone is paying attention or if customers are making rude comments about me so its kind of my "defense mechanism" to keep from breaking down on stage. I know you need to have a tough shell in this business and I normally do but I'm sure everyone has those days where everything gets to you.

I see this a lot at the club I visit. There was one girl who would get on stage, dance for 1 minute, then just lay down and look pissed. A lot of dancers don't always look joyous, but I wouldn't either if I was busting my ass and not being rewarded in any way. It also doesn't help when customers are assholes and throw everything but cash on stage.

SMILE~ ALWAYS SMILE. If you look like you are having a good time, customers will have a better time.

I'll admit that I usually don't smile unless someone's at the tip rail and they're interating with me. I feel stupid if I smile and no one even seems to be paying attention to me, or all the customers are occupied with other girls. It's even harder if there's a row of girls that don't like you sitting there staring you down and making you uncomfortable. I have noticed that girls that smile tend to do better, but I just cant bring myself to do it most of the time.

I always smile. I can remember back in high school drill team getting the "Smiley face award"...HA!
There's a rule that dancers are supposed to know about facial expressions...what was it that our director used to say? Oh, here it is:
"If you don't feel stupid when you're dancing, then you're not doing it right!"
I never understood it at the time, but she was a smart woman...haha...

^well then I must be doing a great job of dancing when nobody's paying attention, because I feel like a complete ass.
I too am guilty of the "no attention, no smile" crime. It just seems pointless to dance smiling onstage when nobody is watching, or if they're watching intensely but just not tipping. That really bugs me. Ugh.

I thought that the whole selling point of being onstage is to get the custy to think that you are enjoying being up there naked just for his attention...THEN, con him out of his $$$!!!
If u look bored or pissed off, what exactly is his fantasy supposed to be of you?![]()
Is he supposed to think that only his dollars ending up in your pocket are going to make him feel sexually powerful and satisfied?
TO ALL LADIES WHO DO NOT SMILE:
You are slackin' on your pimpin'!!!!
(Translation: You are not being a good sales person!)
Hustle Up!!

I agree, i always make an effort to smile and make eye contact, and get uber compliments for my "energy and enthusiasm"
I smile if I get tipped or if I'm thinking messed-up sh*t about a bad crowd. Kinda like in movies where you hear a voiceover of someone's thoughts but they don't move their mouths. LOL
I hate dancing when no one's looking. If people are watching but not tipping, I'll make eye contact and smile, and motion for them to come sit at the tip rail. If they look interested, I'll give them a little tease and then motion for them again. It usually works.
I also work the room beforehand and tell everyone how much more fun stage dancing is when I have someone to dance for. I make them all promise to come sit up front and watch me. Most of them do.
As a custy, I may in fact be watching you from across the room, which is normally very dark, so you may not be able to see me. If you look bored on stage, then I assume you are bored, and no matter how hot you are, or how good of a LD you give, you just lost my interest and my $$$$.

I think with a smile you can rack up some good cash. You look more friendlier and flirty to approach. To me that is. I'd rather tip a girl who's smiling then a girl who looks like she's PMSing. Don't get me wrong too, a serious face looks sexy too w/the combination of a sexy song playing....but with serious eye contact. I guess it all depends on the mood.![]()

Tmlsuperscpice, did you see that take place in a club in DC?At my club most of us smile all the time regardsless.I will have to agree that its hard to do though when you're on stage nude and everybody is staring without tipping and making rude comments.
I dont always smile, but i always am into what I am doing. Some songs when you are trying to be seductive would not look right when you have a cheese eating grin on your face. I think it depends on the song and the attitude on the crowd. Some guys like the fuck you attitude.
Kharisma

Yep, depends on the song. Sometimes I smile so much that my mouth literally gets stuck that way and I have to pry my lips off of my teeth. Otherwise I end up having the Elvis mouth.
I smile a lot, but that is because I have a running commentary going through my head that I find very amusing. I make up little senerios in my mind about the customers in the bar, and if I was to say any of those thing out loud I'd probably be tarred and feathered, but it keeps me smiling, and I am amused (sometimes to the point of laughing out loud!) and the customers are enjoying the happy dancer.
