Default Anyone work just one shift a week ?

Most of the clubs I have worked at over the years require at least 3 shifts a week.
However, I would like to just work on Wed. to supplement our income.

Is anyone else out there just working one shift a week ? If so, how should someone approach clubs with this request ?

I only work 2 shifts a week and my club has no problem, although depending on the club they may have say so on what days they are.

Nope I work all six nights the club is open. There are too many fees to only work one day a week for me!

I vary - from 0 days a week to 4 or 5... typically 1 or 2... my club has a schedule but I dont care.. lol..in for a rude awakening when i move to a new state in a couple weeks..

It all depends on the club.. just go in and ask the club what their requirements are on shifts... explain that you can only work Wed... if you were asking to only work Sat nights it may be a problem but Wed are usually slower and most clubs need girls so they may say OK.

I have been working less and less at my "home" club in SF. Luckily, I can be gone and come back for a day and leave again for a week or more with no penalty. There is no schedule there. Your best bet is to find a club that has no scheduling requirements or restraints. If that is not possible in your area, try to work something out with management. Make sure, though, to keep it under wraps with the other girls. You don't want anyone giving you a hard time because of "favoritisim."

i just started last week, but at my club you basically tell the manager how much you want to work each week; since i am going to school i said i could only work weekends. basically i am only working fridays right now, and it seems to be fine.

MOst clubs that dont require you to have a schedule have a mandatory day like sun or mon.

Sometimes I only work 1 shift a week depending what city I'm in. Some clubs are cool with it even if they say you have to work X amount of shifts. Some managers (here anyway) are more open to it if you have a family, another job or are studying.

During exam time, I cut back to once a week. Of course, I'm able to do that because I'm a tightwad who saves the majority of what I make, so it's no big deal. :p
My club has no minimum number of shifts, nor do we have to work a slow night to make up for it. However, if you want to keep your locker, you do need to work a minimum number of shifts (the number of which I don't know b/c I get "special" treatment being in school and I also share a locker with my best friend).

My club doesn't schedule dancers. You show up whenever the hell you feel like it. I go in once or twice a week. They get day shifters (when NO ONE comes in) by not charging a house fee if you're there at opening time, and then the fee gets higher every few hours.

I would like to work just one shift a week, but my club requires us to work weekends, which is why I take off for a few weeks every so often bc I go to school during the week and I can't handle it all the time. I would be happy working 2 shifts DURING the week, and no weekends, but we'll see if I can make it happen.

Alot of clubs have a "minimum" # of shifts per week but don't really enforce it unless you're a problem stripper....

If they don't have strict schedules you can most likely get away with only working one night per week.

Are there certain types of clubs that are more or less likely to have rigid scheduling policies than others? I'd assume the more upscale clubs would be more anal about things like that, but what do I know.

Most clubs around here want you to work at least 3 days. I never did so well with that. I have 2 other jobs so I would just explain what nights I COULD work. If you explain it in a way that says ONLY when you are AVAILABLE it makes it easier. IMO

the small clubs that i have worked at around the country allow me to work one shift a week. but, if management at a club gives you a problem with working one day a week, i would suggest telling the management you have a 9-5 job monday thru friday (or whenever you do not want to work). i have never had to do this, but if it came down to making money or not making money, i would fib. better yet- the fake job i would say i had would be fairly prestigious. When management thinks that you are very intelligent, they tend to appreciate your presence and contribution to their club.

Thanks for all the advice everyone ! Just wanted to update that I have found a local club that agreed to let me work just one day a week.

The manager even said he would be happy to have me any shift I wanted even if it was just one day a year

I was pretty surprised at this since the club is known for requiring a min. number of shifts. It was my first choice because it is one of the few no touch clubs in the area and by far the nicest.

I figured I'd go for it first and auditioned fully expecting the min. shift thing but I was given a nice surprise instead
