I am going to be auditioning soon in Chicago, but I need some long gowns, so I was wondering if anyone knows of any shops in the Chicago area that sell some. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated!

Don't do HotThreadz when you first start out. Everyone recommends HotThreadz. They do have beautiful gowns but they are extremely pricey. Check with your club if they have the 15% coupon because some clubs give them to you.
Go to a lot of the different shops around clark/belmont or ashland/milwaukee. Shop around.
Also, girls usually sell their outfits pretty often. Ask around the club or even HOUSE MOM. She always knows the info or even sells some herself.
Also, check online. Trashy.com is very cheap and even has a under $20 category. Thing with chicago clubs is they don't like anything see through. Stay away from MESH.
Uh, yeah...I bought my first gown from Hot Threadz.Big mistake, I found the EXACT same gown online for almost $40-$50 less than what I paid...with a discount. If you tell Brandy that you are dancing at VIP's (just say that) you'll get a 15% discount card. Everything is over-priced and no matter what she says, the outfits that you buy online are no worse than what she has in her store. If you are hard-up for time and need an outfit TODAY, then maybe part with the money...otherwise, plan wisely and purchase something online.
Flirt is another good place to buy gowns...
Or, our own Bridgette!! http://www.candyscostumes.com
She's got good prices and great gowns!!
Yes, I too have bought gowns at Hot Threadz. Basically this woman sells the better gowns when she comes into the clubw/ her stuff and totally marks up her prices. One gown I bought ripped within 3 weeks and i was working maybe twice a week. Also she tells everyone about her store, but when i went there, the nicer stuff she sells in the club she does not sell in the store... the store has cheap ugly stuff and is still expensive. Do not go there. How sad that this is really the only store selling dancer stuff in the city. Better to buy online. Her store has really gone downhill in the past year and a half.

Does anybody know if Diana's is still ther on the west side, and if so, what is the exact address?
My MySpace Page:
When you perform... you are out of yourself--larger and more potent, more beautiful. You are for minutes heroic. This is power. This is glory on earth. And it is yours, nightly.

Colleen,
It's Diana's Fashions at 1251 N. Milwaukee. You may want to give them a call and see what their hours are, as they used to have some weird hours. 773-227-7010.
I bought my favorite dress from here and paid $35 for it. I love that place...and if you go to Diana's, stop in at Sunny Shoes down the street.

Cool! I need some new shoes!

All I have to say is Sunny's Shoes are the best they have so much to choose from and you can't go wrong there! I absolutley love them!![]()
Just went shopping for some new dance wear.
Le Femme at Evergreen Plaza mall on the Southside is very cheap! They have a great clearence rack with everything 50% off. Cute gowns also. And if you don't find what your looking for there you can go 3 blocks down to Ann's Corset shop on 105th and Western.
