better too be safe then sorry![]()
It's best to have it check out by a doc, just to make sure you didn't tear anything![]()
You probably didn't ruin them permanently, I go through some weeks were my joints just hurt like hell from weightlifting, especially my shoulder, after while it goes away. I would recommend checking out supplements like glucosamine, chondroitin, MSM, or HA. These supplements will help lubricate your joints and rebuild damaged cartilage.

Since a major knee injury took me away from dance (meaning jazz/ballet dance), I suggest you go to a doctor ASAP. I did the whole, "Oh maybe it's just a bruise or something" thing, and I ended up on crutches for almost a month and it took over a year to fully heal! Better to be safe than sorry, I'd say!
most likely you arent used to moving that much. my knees scream in pain after a tough day. i was paying a physical therapist to touch my leg move it around then ice it down. Talked to a military doctor and he showed me the proper stretches to do. I do them everyday and i only have knee pain when i hit something.
All great advice above. Are your dance heels too tall? Eight inch heels will ruin your knees. Get lower heels.
Wrap Ace bandages or knee braces around your knees. It looks silly but will remind you to not stress them. God only gave you 2 knees!

TJandDani, could you please describe the stretches?![]()

should help you out. i could tell you but i dont want you to do them wrong.

Try Glucosimine Chondrointment(spelling)with MSM. Get Creme or capsules in both. This will help regerate joint cartlidge and help pevent break down of joint tissues. Take daily and get it at health food store
Water on the knee could be a culprit too... while I danced, I used to have this often.. its from doing floor work, or putting lots of pressure on your knees... very painful and can last for weeks...
