Here I go!
Okay... I have only danced 1 time. I was 18 and I went to this club, which in my opinion was totally dirty. It used to be an old XXX theatre and it was still set up that way (Row seating, bring your own drinks, no tables, not even a pole!). I wasn't really prepared to audition, but I did it anyway. I had to dance 2 songs up on the stage. The first was in my bra and panties, the second was totally nude. I got the job and was told to come back, but the atmosphere of the club scared me away. I never went back.
Now I'm 23 and really ready to dance. I've got my shoes (and I've been practicing in them!
) and I've bought a couple outfits on E-bay. I have a much better club in my sights, but techincally, I have never "danced" before. (I don't think that 1 time counts!
) I love music! I mean, I really feel it and get into it. I have great rhythm and I know I can shake my ass like no other! I'm just worried that they won't give me a chance because I have no experience. I REALLY want to work there and I'm not willing to take no for an answer. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Re: Here I go!
Hey there..I just started a couple of weeks ago..I was also afraid they wouldn't hire me b/c i had absolutely no experience and this is a word renown chain of SC...but i got hired! It;s all in your attitude and how well you can move on stage (MEANING BEING CONFIDENT!!!). Good luck..let us know how it goes.

They want to see that you won't freeze up when you go on stage, and look at the reaction of the customers. If you're confident, smile, draw the customers in and make eye contact, that's all they're looking for when you're up there. Just move slow, feel the music, and don't bother yourself with doing tricky moves that you're not sure of.
I auditioned at a club where I was told before-hand that they don't really hire girls with NO experience. Guess what - they hired me. It's all in how you present yourself. It's better to say you have no experience and show them that you have great potential and an outgoing attitude, rather than lying and saying you do have experience and coming off like you don't know what you're doing on stage.
Just wear something you feel super sexy in, walk in with a smile, and do your thing! Good luck and tell us how it goes!
