    where does everyone shop?

i dont really trust the online shopping thing for clothes. i need to be able to touch it, try it on, etc. and not wait for it to come.
SO...besides porn shops where things can be pricey :/ where does everyone shop for their club wear?
is somewhere like victorias secret ok? or fredricks of hollywood? i heard you can only wear certain types of thongs and underwear...like lycra (baithing suit material)
and what about mini dresses/long gowns? anything under $50 for 1 piece of clothing?

    thanks <3

Dearest Glitter, you have got to get over that fear!!! Clothes for dancing are waayyy over priced in the retail stores. I guess they firgure that since we're paid in cash, we are suckers who will part with it easily. Check out these sites: www.musotica. com
www.frantastiks.com, www.flirtcatalog.com, www.digitalthreadz.com, www.wickedtemptations.com, www.electriqueboutique.com. , and my favorite www.trashy.com. I shop at all of these, and many more and have NEVER had a problem. Sometimes "Trashy" takes too damn long, but they have cool stuff. Also, try out www.sunsetstrip.nl, they have a HUGE list of stores, poles etc. That site is off the hook

I prefer to shop at the local dance stores (yes, they DO have stores in my area that cater specifically to dancers). They usually have a great selection of a variety of dance wear. Not to mention, a lot of the stores offer discounts to dancers on all their merchandise - 10 or even 20% in some places!

Yes, retail stores slightly mark up their prices and you can probably find a better price online for the same outfit. However, once you take into account the cost of shipping & handling, which can be OUTRAGEOUS at many online shops, as well as the time it takes for your order to be processed and delivered to your door, the marked up retail store price comes out to basically the same thing as ordering online, but with the added bonus of convenience.

This is all my opinion of course, because I've had some pretty bad experiences with online shopping for dance wear so far.

Now shoes, on the other hand, I prefer to order online. My favorite site is www.snaz75.com - their prices are great and their selection is HUGE. Also make sure to type in stripperweb as a discount code to get an additional 10% off.

Im sick of shopping online and getting burnt. Now i will try something i like in the store. If it is a reasonable price i will buy it. If not, i will grab the name and size and order it online.

I buy a majority of my clothing from some of the vendors that come into the club with racks and racks of club wear. Some are over priced but it seems worth it to be able to try it on. I also shop at some of the adult stores, and several small lingerie shops in my area.

eBay has some pretty decent prices. Just make sure you pay for your items via PayPal so you won't get burned.

I have gotten items from several places:
    http://www.sirenssecrets.com/
    http://www.poisonangel.com/index.html
    http://www.sexydirect.com/main.html

There's another one but I can't find it right now because I am at work.

I have also had good luck with ebay. Make sure to check out the store or person you are buying froms feedback. Also if you buy from a credit card and don't get the product the credit card company will usually pursue it or remove the charge.

I actually did know a girl who had surprising results with a local dressmaker - not a dancewear maker who came into the clubs, but just one of the people with signs up in her front yard. Lycra and PVC - which comprises a lot of what we wear - IS unusually difficult to work with, so it isn't dirt cheap but she used to think it was pretty cheap, plus the added bonus of always getting exactly what you want - like colour, and "wouldn't that be perfect with/without a ribbon over the shoulder" or whatever. I never tried this myself because I have no idea what I want until someone tells me, so I need stores. But if you have good ideas of what you are looking for they will be glad to have you - especially as most dancers buy, on average, something like 5 outfits a month.

We have a guy who goes to all the clubs in the area to sell his homemade stuff. It is incredibly inexpensive, and of comparable quality to the stuff I've gotten online- not to mention very convenient. The only issue is we all have mostly the same style of clothing because we all get it from the same dude, but he uses a lot of variety with materials, etc.

You mean the housemom? Your club sells clothes, even if they're incredibly ugly, I've worked over the river and thru the woods and EVERY club I worked (Jersey, Puerto Rico, Florida, Texas, Washington, Michigan, etc.) has a housemommy who will sell you some outfits, make you an outfit you want or tell you places to go. On line clothes kinda suck but I've noticed shoes are cheaper buying on line
