Summers for the most part are slow season in most locales. Exceptions would be areas that are accustomed to summer tourists.

    - Customers are more likely to be out of town on vacation, or otherwise spending more time with family since their children are out of school.

    - Usually pleasant outdoor weather means more discretionary income going to things like golf, softball leagues, etc.

    - College aged kids often away during summertime. Not the most lucrative market out there, but for clubs in college towns, they make up for their teeny individual budgets volumewise.

But in winter, it is too cold for most people to go out and there are holidays to spend with family, right? They are not problems for you guys?

    * From Jan - April: Customers are still recovering from holiday spending. Winter is still holding on strong in many parts of the country. Tax bill. April showers.

    * From May - June: Weather is starting to get warmer. After a long winter customers are looking to get outdoors, maybe do some work around the home. Kids are starting to get out of school.

    * From July-Aug.: Summer time! Vacations. Out door activites. Time with family.

    * From Sept. - Oct.: Back to school/Back to the grind. College age customers are headed back to campus. Vacations are over. Corporate customers are more focused on work and finnishing up the year strong.

*From Nov. - Dec.: The holidays. Money spent on family gatherings, $$$ for gifts leaves less disposable income, etc.

    -------------------------------------

Please note the preceeding was done in jest. In general it's just been a slow time in the SC industry. Every season I hear dancers use some of the above excuses of why this time of year is bad, and proclaim how the next season is when things will pick up.

I think that business for the SC industry in general is slowly declining and as a result the slow seasons everywhere are gettin longer. Add to that that the number of clubs is increasing and the number of dancers is increasing even faster, and for many girls it's getting harder and harder to make any money. The exceptions are the popular neighborhood titty bars and the GC's in popular resort and convention towns. Most everything else is slowly dying. Blame it in part on increasing competition from other sources of x-rated entertainment, many of which are considerably cheaper. Many strip clubs have priced themselves out of the market.
