Default Help! Sensitive skin and hives???

Okay, this is getting absolutely insane!!!

I have sensitive skin.. very sensitive skin. I am allergic to the following:

    Any oil of olay products
    Dove products
    any bar soaps out there
    Suave anything

I just tried Aveeno.. and now am all broken out in hives!!! How do you get rid of these things? Oatmeal?

Also, anyone know of anything that I can use that won't cause an allergic reaction? I guess I'm just going to have to use my shampoo.. that's the only thing that doesn't break me out.. anyone have a clue as to why I would be allergic to all body washes known to man but not any type of shampoo except Suave?

    Itchy G.

Have you tried Cetaphil? A doctor recommened it to me after I had a reaction in my face before prom no less that caused it to itch and become tight and puffy. Scary!

The website for ya. I have used it before and it helped calm my itchies and didnt get me puffy.

Also Calamine lotion will help the weeping if you have any and also prevent you from itching alot. Benedryl is great too. Youll be pink and sleepy when done though.

Are you allergic to sulphur & sulfites? My best pal is, and can't use most soaps.

Try Pears Glycerin Soap (from England) or the Dr. Bronner's that comes in the bottle. Neutrogena's products are non-soap based and widely available.

I dunno if I am allergic to sulphur.. how do you know if you are? I ended up going down to Albertsons and getting Benedryl last night.. and that helped a bit.. I'm still itchy though.. didnt' sleep very well..

I know that I'm tired of being allergic to things though.. even now, I'm allergic to VS products whereas a few months ago, I had no issues with them at all.. not on any meds other than birth control and tonalin and those aren't going to cause anything like this..

I will try the recommendations listed.

    Thank you!

If your skin is that sensitive you should go to an allergy doctor and get skin tests done. They can tell you what known products/ingredients cause you to break out whether it be herbs, cleaning/detergent product, cosmetics, foods, so on. The cost of the test would be worth it to avoid days off work from allergic reactions. You will know what to use and avoid .
