    Default facials

what kind of facials do you get/facial skin care routine do you have?
I hvae gotten microdermabrasion before and loved it but i went to a new spa and they told me it is terrible for you and that they don't use it anymore and they recommended a glycolic acid 40% peel. I can't imagine that a chemical peel is good for my face either. What do you guys do?

Microderabrasion or glycolic does the same thing, exfoliate. They're just trying to sell you on thier services. I'm a firm beliver in if it ain't broke, don't fix it. If the microderm is working well for you, don't try another means of deep exfoliation until your skin reaches it's plateau.

I try to get a european facial once a month as well as a 30% glycolic peel once a month. I know that estheticians recommend the peel more often than that but my skin is pretty healthy and I don't feel I need to have it done more than once a month.

I'm an oily skin that rarely breaks out and I'm over 25 so my main corncern is prevention. My daily skincare is:

    AM
Neutrogena Rapid Clear Oil-Control Foaming Cleanser
    Neutrogena Alcohol-Free Toner
Boots Time Dimension day Moisturizer (spf 6)
Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado

    PM
The only thing I change is my moisturizer, I use La Mer

I add Clean & Clear Advantage Acne Spot Treatment when needed and once a week I use Nars Mud Mask.

I wash my face with the La Mer cleansing lotion and take it off with cotton with Evian water on it than mist my face with Evian and take it off with more cotton. After I use the La Mer tonic and after the undereye cream and then face cream. It works the best for me but it depends on your skin. I used to use soap (Deep clean neutrogena) because I taught that O had oily skin and I was breaking out but then the estheticain told me that it's not good so now I use a cleansing lotion !
I heard that microdermabraison is not good because they use alluminium crystala that can cause some serious harm to your health.

I get a gycolic acid peel 40% once every 3months! It works great for me. I have combination skin. I tried microderm and it's didn't work so good on me. I also use products from my dermatologist am &pm and I'm usually blemish and pimple free.

Cant tan with micrdermibasion either. I do oxygen treatments, gentle exfoliation, and a mosturizer that is mineral oil free. Your diet and water will benifit better than any product.
