    Default Spider Bite

Okay I have a really embarrassing question. Thursday night I got bit on the a$$ by a spider. I didn't think anything of it until today when the bite got really swollen and painful. I know I need to see a doctor but until I get a chance I need to return to work tomorrow. I tried covering it up with regular conceilor and that didn't work at all. Does anyone have a special makeup they could suggest that would cover the bite (with the swelling its the size of a nickle and that doesn't look all that attractive on the butt area)

I know what you mean. I wouldn't be nearly as self conscious if it wasn't directly on my butt. I hate to thing what nasty disease the guys are going to think I have. I really wish I had bought a pants outfit when I had the chance

Band-aid? Maybe? Damnit that sucks. Do you have to go to work? Id want to stay home to keep it away from infection. Only b/c the club can be full of germs.

Do some research as to what kind of spider bit you. Keep an eye on it for any changes such as more swelling, pain, boils, puss, redness, and size. Also, vomiting, nausea, fevers and rash. Keep it clean and apply anti biotic ointment.

I don't think anything could cover, but try Tea Tree Oil, or Campo-Phenique from the drugstore, poss. w/band-aid, as suggested? Yes, seeing a Dr. would be best, when you can, good luck.

    Have you tried hydocortisone cream?
This will sound stupid, but a folk remedy for bee stings is to hold a cut onion halve against the bite. It's worth trying. Come on, it's your hiney.
Or you can have a sense of humor, buy some Snoopy Band-Aids and make the bite a conversation topic with custies at work.

If you are allowed to just keep your booty shorts on thats a ll i would say do. I dont think you should try putting anything on it . That might just make it get infected and get worse.

True! And did you see the spider? Some bites will be huge and red for a few days only to open and puss out and maybe get infected.

My mechanic was bit not long ago, he actually smacked his leg, and there it was a red spider, and he was fine for a couple days, except it hurt, well it opened, he started to feel kinda sick, tired. Went to the doctor, and they had to open it up more and cut some surrounding skin. Also packed it after so it could drain more. And he went on antibiotics.

Today, you can't even see what the doctor did! Seriously, just a tiny mark! But the first day he showed me...i thought omg!!!

Just be careful with this bite you have.

Yes I agree. If it gets worse it may be a brown recluse. Your skin will change colors rapidly in the bite area . This kills your skin , spreads, and is very dangerous. My friend was bitten on the kitty by one while she was sleeping. She felt a numbing pain and the skin was already discolored. They had to cut out the infected area. We call her Charolettes Webb now. She no longer sleeps without panties.

That happened to me a few years ago while on vacation... I ended up in the hospital, I really thought I was gonna die!!!! It felt like it, and I really almost could have. You really need to be careful with spider bites. Now I am terrified of those stupid ugly eight legged creatures from hell!!!!!

At least she doesn't dance nude. She said the most embarassing part was having her legs spread in the ER in the good old OBGYN Sturups and the doctor in the room was HOT.

I know a guy that just lost a toe because of a brown recluse. Get to the DR. asap. Even if it was a housespider it can cause severe infection and scarring. I had a bite on me knee cap and after bending onto the stage a couple times in 2 days it got infected and now I have this huge scar. It's UGLY, and yours is on your heiny, so go to the walk in clinic and have it looked at.

Ditto. Go to a doctor. My granny was on crutches for six months because of a brown recluse spider.

Spider bites suck! Those little shitheads never bite once, they always get you 3 or 4 times and the marks take 6 months to fade.

Well I decided on the bandaid idea yesterday. I went to CVS and got Barbie bandaids, and whenever guys asked I told them I could finally say I had the barbie butt I've always wanted. I was going to go to a clinic today but ended up leaving work yesterday with $10 (it was slow for everyone). The bite is getting smaller but this morning I woke up with a killer headache which from what I read is a sign of a brown recluse so I am off to the doctor as soon as I get the money. Thanks everyone for the advice

I got bitten a few weeks ago and I must be allergic to it becuase mone swelled up to the size of a golf ball. I got marched to the Dr who recommended I spray neosporin on it, but if it didnt go down the Doc said it would be a hospital case.
Go to your doctor, spider bites are really no joke and shouldnt be taken lightly. Some people react to it differently and it can get infected. Dont risk it.
