Default A little nervouse about being a stripper

Hey, I'm new to this all. I've been thinking about becoming a dancer for awhile, but I'm unsure how to get started, and a little nervouse, about it. I've been told it's hard work, but that doesn't scare me. I'm pretty sure I could do it. I'm just affraid that I'm going to fall down, or embaress myself some other way. I'm only 5'2" and I weight between 130 and 140, but everyone always asks where. I know how to hide my weight even when I'm whering next to nothing. However, I also know that guys like all shapes and sizes and it really depends on what kind of club you get hired at. Anyway long story short, just a little nervouse about getting started and would be thankful for any tips or suggestions about getting hired, or moves, and so forth.

Hi! The best way to find all of the information you're looking for is to browse around. There are MANY people who have asked the same questions that you are. I'm sure you'll get some answers here, but just check out the site really well (use search and stuff) and you can find other answers, too. Welcome to the boards, though!

Oh my gosh honey, I was so in your shoes even a week ago! I was so nervous about pretty much anything I could think of! Almost everyone starts out that way unless they are just super confidant...but most are afraid of the unknown. A few months ago I joined this site and started browsing and found sooo many important questions and soooo much useful advice. I'm sure you will find the same. Good luck!!
    XOXO,

Good luck first off and second maybe check into seeing if there is a pole dancing class in your area that you could take just so you are confident that you can do simple things on the pole and what not.

Also check out a few clubs, sit and watch the girls for a bit and then go home and practice practice practice!! Crawl on a hard surface floor to get your knees used to it so you don't have excrutiating pain the first few weeks! Make sure you're comfortable in the heels, buy a pair and wear them around alot to get used to them if not!

    Good luck!!

hey there...I know how u feel..i was there bout a month ago..had never danced before and went into a pretty well known club to audition. About the weight thing...I know girls have said it depends on where u r working which i'm sure is true, but if u say people can't tell ur weight..then perhaps don't worry about it. I know i was scared to audition cause i am 5'2" as well and gained 10 lbs quickly after college! But I gained it in all the right places =). Turns out now I'm one of the popular dancers at the club because of my proportions (Aka boobies and booty ). I do work out a lot so I'm toned....so weight IS just a number..if you look good, you look good so walk right in there and be confident...fake it till u make it hun!!!
