    Default Audition at wrong club?

I just phoned a club I'd like to work in (I've never danced before) to ask when to audition. They said next week at a branch which is right on the other side of the city from the one I'm interested in (which is nearer to home and university) If I get it, will I have to stay at the faraway club? Or is it normal to audition at one club but dance at another? Thanks for any help x

That sounds a little strange. They probably need more dancers at the other location. Call them up again and ask if you can audition/work at the one closer to you instead.

Maybe you should check out the other one and see if you're willing to work there? If they need more dancers there and they are willing to give you a job i wouldn't pass it up if you really need the work. You can always transfer or apply at a different club after a while.

I have worked in situations where its 2 branch clubs in the opposite ends of a city, its not as bad as it sounds, and can really really work in your favor.Often times,a chain club with a couple of branches in one city can have a choke hold on the custie base and the dancers in the area.

My advice would be to show up at the location that they told you to,get hired first.

It could be the location you want to work at is full, and they are only going to send to to the other one anyways(unless your just stunning)

Get the job first,at the location they told you to come to,then its easy to bounce between clubs.

    Best of luck

I have known chain clubs that wont let girls move between clubs.

Because the girls freekin kill each other.

The dressing room becomes a death match power struggle.

Prima donnas from one club mixing with the home team prima donnas doesnt work all the time.

The last thing the home team wants is a ringer comming in from another club, even if its the same company.

Im with the Cheetah, girls bouncing between clubs usually turns out bad, depending on the girls.
A perminent swap between clubs usually isnt a problem.

If it is,let them know you will be leaving.

    LOL

See how fast that rule changes.
Often times that "rule"is just a branch manager not wanting to lose his best girls to the branch manager and club across the city that may be doing more business.

Again,my advice is to get hired at the club your supposed to,then in a couple of weeks,go to the club you want to work at as a cusite and meet the manager and let him know you work for the same chain, then "Hint"his club is closer to home and where you want to work.

If your the shit, all ya gotta do is drop a hint.

Trust me,at the next staff meeting, the manager is going to bring up your name and try to get you there, the compitition between branch managers in the same city is like the comp between the girls.(not that the girls comp with each other)

first,ya gotta get the joby job.
