Default Philly clubs for out of towner

I currently live in the south, but all my family lives in Jersey. I usually come once or twice a year to visit. Recently, I started working in the clubs up there during my visits; that way I'm still making money, and I can stay longer, usually 2-3 weeks. I usually come either in the summer or the winter, or sometimes both.

The first club I went to was Delilah's, but they didn't seem interested in out of towners. The next club I went to was Oasis. I happened to walk in as Tucker was walking out. I told him I was looking for temporary work, and I guess he liked my personality, because he sent me in for an audition with Mark (from Paulsboro-not Mike!). Mark got my application, took a pic in a gown, and had me working. When I came back for my next trip, Mark was gone! Mike, who I remembered from my previous trip, was running the show. He told me that he wasn't interested in having any out of town girls working for a couple of weeks and then leaving. I asked him if there were any other clubs that might be interested, and he suggested Dangerous Curves. I tried finding it, based on his directions, but took a wrong turn and gave up. The only other club that I had considered working for was Cheerleaders in Gloucester (close to home), so I went there for an audition and was hired. I have worked there for the last two visits home, but the second time seemed to not be as good as the first. Seemed that the business there had slacked off. Also, I find it harder to be sensual with me top on, so I think I would do better at a topless bar.

Soo, my question is......Does anyone know of any topless/pastie clubs in the Philly area that would be open to hiring an out of towner like myself? I want middle of the road or upscale places. I am OK with contact dances, but I don't do extras. I am thinking either Club Risque, Dangerous Curves, or Signatures.

Also, does anyone know where Mark from Paulsboro is working now? Thanks for any help!

I don't think it's the same Mark, he's not really dark.

He's big, kind of heavyset, shaved head.

I like Risque. It is the first club I ever worked in. Ah... the memories. Anyway, it's a nice place but pretty compeitive as i remember it. Signatures is smaller and in centre city so you may have a different kind of customer there. Let us know how it goes!~

If you think the "out-of-towner" aspect of it is hurting your chances, then why even tell them? This is a pretty transient business anyway. Say you just moved here or something, it doesn't really matter.

I was at Oasis when Mark was there, so we probably worked together. I just got off the phone with Tucker, actually. Small world and all that.

If I find a club that I like, I want to be able to be able to work there again. I don't want them to think I'm some flake who disappeared after a couple of weeks, then I reappear in 6 months or so, only to disappear again after a few more weeks, and so on.

Anyway, I'm not a good liar, so I try to be as truthful as I can.

Forgot to mention: I don't want to have to go through the auditioning process every time I come to town, big waste of time!

Thanks Missme1. I wish Mark were still in the business, I'm sure he would have let me work in his club if he were.

MrChristopher: From some of your other posts, it sounds like you are a DJ, sorry if I'm wrong. I remember a couple of dark haired guys working there at the time. One I didn't talk to much, but the other had moved up from the south, was married to a girl from up that way. Which one were you?

April, if you're still looking into that kind of arrangement, I've seen it done at Oasis in Essington and at the Gold Club in Center City. Also, some of the clubs noth of the city, like Double Visions and 19th Hole seem to be flexible.

Well, Risque it was! I went to Signatures for an audition, but was told he didn't have the time, come back tomorrow. Well, after I had made the drive and paid for parking, I was pissed, and had no intention of coming back! Drove to Risque, auditioned, and was hired. They offered to let me work that night (was a Monday), but I couldn't. They said they were OK with that arrangement as long as I didn't work for any other clubs in the area when I came back for my visits. I'm supposed to call in advance for my bookings.

Only thing I didn't like about the place were the odd round side stages. Little awkward to dance on, but I made good money and had some fun doing it. I'll definately be back on my next trip!

Which Club Risque? The one in Bristol just north of the city is nice and a lot easier to get to by car from Jersey if that's important, but I've never been to the one downtown. Anyway you might be able to work at either or both, be sure to ask. The Bristol club is pretty popular depending on when, but it's a locals joint. It's my favorite Philly area club and I live pretty far away. And good luck.

The one in Bristol is too far from where I would be coming from in Jersey.

There were soooo many girls working there (I come from a club that usually has about 20 girls working there) that I really don't remember anyone's name.

My stage name is April, that's the name I used when I was there. I'll probably be back next June.
