    Clinique 3-Step Skin Care System?

I'm looking for a new facial product line to wash my face with. I have had some clogged pores and acne from the makeup, cigarette smoke, sweat, smoke machine etc. at work. I'm switching my foundation and concealer from MAC, which I felt was starting to irritate my skin to bare minerals. I was wondering if anyone has tried Clinique's 3-step program. It seems pretty good since you can tailor the program to your skin type. I'm just looking for some feedback if anyone has used it before I buy it. Thanks.

I have to agree with Bare Minerals. As a side note, try everyday minerals which can be found on ebay. it's just as good and way cheaper. I've been a BareMinerals user for years, so I would have been able to tell the difference.

As for Clinique. I've tried it. I was not that impressed. it dried out my skin. Now I use philosophy skincare products, which I like a lot.

Which type of regin did you use, Em? I bought a Philos. kit off Qvc, (anti-aging) the moisturizer was a lil' to heavy for my skin. I was stronly interested in another kit I saw (also on Qvc) it was like 40.00 & had like 5 products in it. Christine, the president of Philos. will be back on in Nov. so I might see what they have then. they have some nice kits that I don't see in the stores.

Clinique offers some good products, but I think their toners are too harsh and that Dramaticly Different Moisturizer sucks ass. Never let one of those white lab coats talk you into a #4 toner. That stuff contains acetone, the same sh*t you use to take off acrylic nails. I've worked for a lot of different product lines over the years and my favorite department store lines are Shiseido, Clarins, La Mer, Re Vive, YSL and Awake as far as skin care is concerned.

In all honesty, since I no longer get free product or discounts, I've been using Neutrogena's cleansers and toners and I really like them. Paying $14 bucks for both those products let's me splurge on the important stuff like my eye cream, moisturizer and serums.

If you're gonna be investing some change in your skin care routine, DEFINITELY go with dermalogica...It is pricey, but well worth it. It's very customized and high quality, if it doesn't improve your skin you can pm me and bitch me out...lol.

Check out www.dermalogica. com, they have a thing on there where you can do "face mapping", identify your problems and then get products to remedy them.

Hey, isn't Dermalogica the co. that has these thingies, they're in individual lil' packets, they do like a multi-anti-aging thing? I know, that makes no sense. But, I can't think of what they're called, but I've seen them written up in the magazines, saying they're great products. This thing I mention, it's one of their newest .

The cosmetology school I'm currently enrolled in uses Dermalogica. I've only gotten to work with it a couple of times, for facials and backcials. I haven't gotten to play with all the products yet but they're not bad at all. I'm diggin' that Scaling fluid for blackheads and theres's this clay cleanser that rocks for oily skin facials. Some of that stuff is potent, definate tingling/slight burning sensation when used. But your skin glows afterwards...

ok i have to step in here, Clinique is not the greatest for your skin, there is a lot of harsh ingredients. I am from a long line of people who are in the beauty industry, whether it be from friends and family. The last thing I would do is recommend clinique it is one of the worst brands on the market. Mary Kay is a very good brand, and so is Proactiv, Aveda is also a good one as well. Please just do not use Clinique!

Yeah, I used to use the 3 step and it wasn't the greatest. I didn't really see results at all, nothing negative but no real positives either. The toners are very harsh and I'm not such a fan of that yellow soap stuff or the ddml. Clinique have some good products like Total Turnaround but IMO the 3 step isn't so brilliant. You could def find better skincare for the money.

Clinique, although I love its foundations, makes cleansers and toners that dry out and irritate my skin. Its moisturizers clog my pores. I like Neutrogena cleansers. It washes off everything without drying.

I use some dermalogica, and i personally am not impressed by the line. At first it seemed to work well but longterm it didn't.

I have tried every freaking product under the sun. I recommend neutrogena too. Cheap and works well.

As far as moisturizer though, that is a whole different story!
