    Default A Manager's Job

I been trying to find information about managers, and have come across some really good stuff . Especially the thread by Lizette about how much managers make. But really, what all does a manager do? What is he responsible for? I realize that different clubs have different expectations and responsibilities they put on their managers. In your club, do you have a manager and a general manager, what's the difference?

In a nutshell, managers have to listen to every female in the building bitch, whine, moan, bitch, whine, complain, bitch, bitch, whine, bitch, etc about anything and everything, and get all these women to behave in some kind of orderly fashion to keep the club wheels turning, control catfights, and otherwise put up with endless amounts of bullshit from a truckload of women.

There is no way in hell I'd want a manager's job. I'd go stark-raving mad within a week.

Hahah! thats a great description of a manager's job! My man and some of our friends have been SC managers.. there's a little more to it (the business end of the club etc) but mainly keeping the girls in line, keeping the customers happy and make everything run smoothly overall.
On a related note does anyone have a female manager in their club? They are very rare I know but I know they exist somewhere.. just wondering

Most full time club managers make $500-$600 a week, and some get a percentage of dance sales or VIP rooms.

General Managers are the ones who oversee the entire club and who carry on the function of the club owners if they were there. GM's can make $60,000 to in the range of $100,000 per year.

In smaller clubs a waitress or outside person may act as manager in a club where the owner does not want to handle the day to day activities. In these club this person may rarely be at the club, but delegate duties to a bartender or DJ, write checks, and book dancers. These types of managers may have a day job and get a small check or a small percentage of dance sales or profits.
