How often do you people work out and what do you do?
For me, I try to work out at least 4 times a week. I do biceps and triceps one day, back and shoulders including ab work out the next, and chest with ab work out the other day.

I really try to hit the gym at the min. of 3 days a week. My workout changes monthly.
I do 45min of cardio after my wt.
Before that is wieght training esp. lunges and squats on different days of course. Im trying to grow a bum.

As much as I like to work out, I can not keep up doing cardio. It is just not in me too keep running. I may look in shape, but I get out of breathe walking up stairs. My cardio is bad ha. I guess I am trying to grow a heart attack. Though I do have a bony ass. ha

You can still have high blood pressure and high cholesterol and be skinny. Get your bp checked as well as your cholesteral...running out of breathe climbing stairs should last very very short if not at all if you are in shape.

I don't do cardio either. I used to do 1 hour on the elliptical machine and then some abs but i saw no results and didn't lose weight then now I changed I do super sets only weights and I have some good results so it all depends on your body. I go at least 3 times a week but mostly 4-5 times.

I'm the opposite.I do 45min-1hr cardio,elliptical machine,4-5 days a week,and 200 sit ups a day,without any weight training,works best for me.I'm tall so the weights make me bulky and fast,which I don't like.
i try to run at least 4-5 days a week for about 45 minutes on the tread... before that i do weights.. i do a body part each day... i try to get at least 300 crunches in after my workouts, as well as some push ups.... i tend to build muscle really easily, so i don't really do hard core weights.. just a little for toning.... running is incredible for stomach definition.. i have an awesome stomach from doing all that running..... i would highly suggest anyone who is looking to tone up their stomach to start running.... you will see a major difference... but its not all about working out, u gotta eat right too...

Ya !!! Eating counts for 75% .
I only swim. Swim 1 mile sometimes more sometimes less 3 or 4 days a week. I stopped for 4 months and gained 15 lbs!!!! Started again just in September. I tried to do the weights workouts too but I get too bored easily.

I do my weights for about 30 minutes and then I hop on the cardio machines. Usually tredmill for 30 minutes and the eliptical for 30 minutes 5 days a week. I am seriously trying to tone up and lose a couple of pounds. Down to 122 from 130, In two weeks. But I am going to hedonism 2 for a week, so I have a target date yikes... next Friday.
Work outs are one thing but eating healthy is also a major part.

I hate cardio. The chemo I was on as a kid messed me up and I have about 65-70% lung capacity when I'm in good shape. When I'm not doing team (softball) conditioning/running, I'm using the elliptical trainer for about 30-35 mins. After that I start my lifting. During the summer I was at the gym 6 days a week for a min of 1.5 hours. My routine stayed the same. Stretch, triceps (lots of triceps, fave muscles to work out), traps, shoulders, biceps, more triceps, chest, obliques, calves, quads, back. Most of the tie if I had pushed myself the day before, it took me 1.5 hours. If I was feeling extremely motivated (usually by the huge guys hulking around the gym) it took 2 hours. That's it in a nutshell.
OH BTW, I just had my BMI run, and in October of 2003, my weight was 225lbs, with 33.9% body fat. Now, I'm at 189lbs, with 23.8% body fat!!!! I'm on cloud 9. Only 25 more lbs to go!

A 10% drop is bodyfat is HUGE! Congratulations!!! I know that takes so much dedication and hardwork.Originally Posted by DSUsb19

I LOVE the high I get from Adrenaline and Endorphins!!! And it's really weird but I love to burn all my glycogen stores and get that really weird Ammonia smell in my sweat. Strange, I know, but it makes me feel like I've accomplished a serious workout.
Anyway, for my weight training I do a program based on the BFL method. Alternating Lower/Upper Body every other day on the HIIT method. For cardio, I do 5-6 days a week focusing on endurance, speed or intervals (usually running). I also like to mix in some pilates, yoga, and my newest obsession "Billy Blank's BootCamp". [email protected]! It's so intense, I love it!

I just found a personal trainer who does "full body workouts" every time. He believes that our bodies were not made to be trained in sections (arms, chest, legs, etc) but together as a whole. I'll start training with him in a few weeks.
I used to work out 6 days a week...3 days of cardio and 3 days of weights. But, as a "dancer" by heart (love ballet, etc) I found that I was becoming "off-balance" so to speak because some parts of my body were stronger than others. While most people will never notice little differences, it was annoying to me. I really cannot wait to work with this new trainer. I'm only going to go once per week, but I'm well versed enough in the gym that a little new instruction is all I need.
I work out at the gym 6 days a week for 4-6 hours each day. I run, lift weights, go on the machines, etc.....I just do all I can do when i'm there! :-D
Thats interesting. How often does he train per week? Does he go more for endurance training or is he a bodybuilder? I'm curious because I've never heard of training a bodypart more than twice a week at most.Originally Posted by VenusGoddess

I just joined a gym about a month ago and started working out again. I usually lift weights for about 20-30 minutes (upper body and lower body) and I do 30-40 minutes of cardio, either on the elliptical machine or walking on the treadmill. I typically go to the gym 3 times a week.

Same here. I do full body workout in the gym one day on-one day off.Just stopped going on the running machine as found is doesnt work as well as actual street/park running (works different muscle groups).
The days off from gym (weights) its 1 hour Pilates sessions including stretch for half an hour (at home),then daily Martial Arts class every evening but weekends (gotta have a break sometime) and lately because its hard to fit in dance classes. I dare any girl whos not training for the olympics to think shes half as fit as me.

Saw some guy do some crazyness on the bars in the gym this weekend. Hung by his arms and lifted his legs up and round straight out in a full circle from ear to ear 360 degree like a clock winding itself up. I was like WOW-I can do pole but Ive GOTTA learn that!!! He's done gymnastics.
