This is MY PERSONAL experience. Everyone has different experiences so dont take everything to heart. Everything listed is what my girl said to do. YOUR person may give you other directions, etc... Cecilia is at Blissful Health in Waipahu, HI. She is a healer, very strict vegan and into holistic healing. I loved her but everyone has different tastes in things so check out people who do colonics in your area and make sure you are comfortable with them!
So, after all the chit chat Ive been hearing about colonics I decided to go get one done. I found a great place here with a great machine. There are different types of machines... some are very impersonal and embarassing and the lady that does the colonics said she hated it and waited 10 years before getting another because of the machine. She has a great machine... its kinda like a toilet you lay down on. There is a tube about 3 feet long by 3 inches wide that is clear that you can see what is comming out of you.
Before you get one go check out the place and have them show you the machine. This one is a light blue one and very nice.
First she recommends getting a colonic once a week for 12 weeks (depending on your body, etc)
For the first 3 nights before the colonic I was told to take a piece of wool soaked in CASTOR OIL and place it on my abdomen, cover with a sheet of plastic and then top with a hot water bottle on it OR a heating pad on low. Leave it on for 30 minutes then remove the heat and massage for 20 minutes. Return the heat and leave on for another 30 minutes.
Castor Oil penetrates the skin and is good for all kinda of things (do a search on google for old remedies!) It helps lubricate the intestine to get things going.
After this you take one teaspoon of Olive Oil (super gross)
The 3 days before the colonic I wasnt to eat any beef or pork because its hard to digest... chicken and fish are ok. Also not to eat any gassy foods (explained later)
The morning of the colonic I drank 2 bottles of water (about 30 ounces) and went in. Cecilia greeted me and took me into the room.
The tube that goes in you is smaller than your pinky in width... about the size of an at home enema... she told me to undress from the waist down and bring my shirt up to just under the breasts. Lay down on the "table/bed/toilet thingy) and insert the tube with lots of lube. Then cover with a sheet. She then put on some mellow music and turned the lights on low. If I look to my left by the floor is the clear tube where everything comes out.
She then turns on the water. At first it felt that I had to go pee really bad... then it turned into a feeling of (this is gross) really bad food poisoning with diarrhea... it HURTS. as the water goes into you through the tube when you push out the water --- when you push the tube kinda goes to the side and everything comes out into the bed/toilet under you.
During this process she massaged my stomach and would hit tender spots. She would expain what was comming out. Mine was 90% water with bubbles in it. I thought it would be a bunch of poo and was very surprised. She told me what not to eat to avoid the bubbles and said this was the cause of all my bloating and constipation. The bubbles are a gas and they dont just "pop" when your digested food come into contact with them... they make it harder for your food to get through your colon.
It lasted about 45 minutes... I would "fill up" and the pain would be so bad at times I was tearing up then it would release and it felt great.
After I was done my little tummy was GONE. She said it would take about 5 appointments before I started getting the little crevices of my intesting clean. My mom, who went the day before did much better than me... she would only need about 3 but 12 colonics will really cleanse you. My mom also said hers was only about 40% gas the rest digested food (she eats a LOT BETTER than I do) but I eat organic and free range now that I live with her....along with all kinda of other stuff!
After the appointment I took a teaspoon of acodiphilis culture which is a liquid you can buy at the local natural food store.. it is natural bacteria and tastes like melted yogurt with no sugar... nasty.
I was also told that my constipation may be caused by low enzymes and that I should drink a glass of fresh pineapple juice every morning... (easy when living in HI, may get expensive for someone who lives in NY or so... dunno)
She also recommends a diet of all certified organic (key word being CERTIFIED) and free range beef, pork, chicken. She actually doesnt recommend eating pork or beef but if you DO eat it to make sure its free range.
Anywho - that was my experience.. have 2 more this comming and next Thursdays...
Any questions lemme know!
