Wow! Looks like that's vinyl.I have a few costumes made out of that.Latex costumes are great, but far more expensive and very hard to care for.You have to wipe the latex with Pledge to keep it protected and I think put some kind of powder on it to keep it from sticking together.Another thing is that in latex your body won't breathe at all,so you'll be constantly sweaty.I used to have a latex dress a long time ago, which was a gift (cost around $500),but after a few years it ripped.

So both materials are great,so it's really up to you
    good luck with your purchase!

    Wore both.

For me latex you can move and stretch in better. Vinyl is HOTTER to me.

It's kinda a trade off. try both on if you can at a store.

They are both hot to wear. I just liked the look of latex better, but again if it's made well Vinyl can be very nice too.

My first pick is Latex for me. Tough call.

I think that's latex in the pic. Latex moves and stretches with you better. Vinyl is a little more stiff. I also think vinyl is hotter to wear. I def like latex better - I think in this case there's a reason it's more expensive.

As for care, vinyl is def easier. You have to get products to clean and keep latex shiny and not so with vinyl. I've got several vinyl pieces for work because I'd rather use the cheaper, easier care stuff for work. Just can't justify spending the extra money on regular work outfits. But for special items for shows/contests/something I'll be wearing for more than a few minutes at a time, I'd rather splurge on latex.

I reckon it depends on what you'll be using it for.

That one pictured is almost definitley latex. Vinyl is usually thicker and doesn't conform to the body as easily.

I personally like latex WAY better. Compare the fits:

it could be a pvc fabric- basically a fabric that's coated with vinyl. it's very flexible, but generally less durable than either material, so it's also cheaper.

It looks like stretch vinyl to me. I have yards of the stuff that I make clothes out of, and it's not stiff at all. Breatehs pretty well, too.

Every piece of vinyl I've had is made of that 'pvc fabric' stuff. It's a little stretchy but still more stiff than latex. I've never seen or heard of a vinyl outift that wasn't made of the fabric stuff. Pvc/vinyl is pretty much the same thing - I've seen the exact same outfit advertised at one place as vinyl and at another as pvc. Look at the difference in fit between the vinyl and latex in the outfits scarlet linked to. All those vinyl outfits are less form-fitting and a bit wrinkled up looking because they just don't move and stretch with you as well.

I have a vinyl catsuit made of that pvc fabric crap and it's ok but still looks kinda cheap. Latex is worlds better.

But, as already stated, depends what you want it for. If you just want a cool outfit for work, go with vinyl but beware you won't want to wear it long! It's HOT
