    Default Wardrobe conspiracy

Why isnt there a stripper clothes index here to find stuff at (and I dont mean on websites, I mean REAL stores)?
Is it some kind of undercover poeration or something to keep all stores underground?

Im venting people!!! Spent all afternon being driven from ym regulars "you want ot buy something, buy this, buy that, we have something new just in"pushy-assed store to 2 more that acted like to tell me of other stores in the area I would have to kill them first. I dont wanna see a catalogue! If I wanted a catalogue Id go on the internet and buy instead.
Then the boyfriend start crying (and driving) AGAIN and acting like im about to run off with another man just cos I said Im going back to work.
Oh lawd! I really need a blog right now!

Helpful Thrifty Stripper Tip Here- the upside to not finding dancewear stores right away is to curb your spending. Imagine the bill if you actually got to get all the garments of you dreams!!!
There are famous stores in Los Angeles CA and Las Vegas NV that custom-make garments (haute couture for strippers LOL)- there are some threads on here about them.

A lot of good places are local operations rather than chains. Probably because they can also be sex/leather shops, and I'm guessing city ordinances might slant against risque businesses from out of town. (And I don't mean Fredrick's of Hollywood, which last I checked was about as risque as . . . well . . . something not very risque, I guess.)

The chain store I can think of that might do ya' is Hot Topic -- I was there recently and they had a bunch of lingerie, g-strings and sexy mini-clothes of the type that looked OK to dance in. Here in Portland, I just bought a really neat outfit from Spartacus, downtown. Their prices are kinda high, but not horrible or unreasonable.

Shop around! A friend had a rave review of Religious Sex (sp?) in the Village NYC....maybe they have a website? Those could be splurge-sexy clothes.
(Whisper) I'm currently using garments priced $10-$60....many thrift & discount finds..no one is the wiser.
PS Torrid boutiques are quite nice. They are geared to BBWs but I found a lot I liked, including risque gear.

Not sure if there is one near you but... I've bought a few things for work at Forever 21... Hot Topic was another good suggestion.

A lot of major cities such as Dallas, Houston, and Phoenix have costume stores advertised in the local alternative papers. You just have to go to different stores until you find things you like at reasonable prices.

I would be a good idea to start a thread under services and have everyone list costume stores they are aware of by region and city. Everyone does not want to order on line. When I want something, I want it now, plus I travel, so I am not around to get mail.

ASk the girls at work or management, they usually know where the best places in town are. Management wll probably give you directions to one or more in the area
