Default Best Body Lotions for Winter

Since winter is coming soon I was wondering if any of you guys do anything special to keep your skin soft. What are some of your fav. lotions/body butters and does your routine change when it gets cold.
Right now I use vaseline instensive care/mixed with olive oil right out of the shower.

    Good mix.
St. Ives ($3 a bottle but creamy and smooth) Bag Balm ($5 a tin, at Walgreens) Queen Helene Cocoa Butter, or good old Crisco.
Take oil pills too- salmon or primrose.
"Grease yourself up" and go to bed in longjohns.

Here in Colorado it's a bitch to try and keep your skin soft especially in the winter. I use a macadamia and kukui nut blend body oil when I get out of the shower. Then I layer on Bag Balm on parts that tend to get rough if not properly moisturized, like feet, elbows, and knees. I use the Vaseline Body Renewal on areas that don't need as much moisture. It's got a very light consistancy as well as an AHA to exfoliate.

I just buy Nivea (blue or white bottle) lotion. It keeps my skin hydrated LOTS and leaves a nice shine...but not "vasaline greasy" hahahaha. You don't even have to worry about applying, and re-applying. It's awesome!

^^^ The Tutti Dolce line rocks! The BEST dry skin products I've used though are at-home mixes:

Brown sugar body scrub - brown sugar, olive oil (baby oil works too)
Moisturizer - olive oil, glycerin, shea butter

I use Bag and Beaver Balm for my feet and really really dry spots. Other than that, what works best for me is the Neutrogena Norwegian Formula line. The body lotion comes scented (which smells really really good) or fragrance free. I use it and it works for a good long while after you apply it. They also have an awesome hand lotion, but it's kind of stinky.

Body Butter from the Body Shop is amazing. Try the nut one or I also like the grapeseed. Very light and refreshing smelling.

I've learned that for me, the type of oils and emollients are not the most important ingredient, rather, dimethicone is. Dimethicone seals in the moisture, creating a barrier between your sking and the environment. Waxes can be good too, as they're not greasy. As a nurse who has to wash her hands several times a day, I swear by Goldbond for hand lotion. I use Vaseline Intensive Care for body lotion. I don't like Lubriderm or other oily lotions b/c they sting for some reason.

I use the same thing year round...can't live without 'em. Rosemary Mint Body Lotion by Aveda and Essential Moisturizing Balm by E'Spa. The Balm is so light and non greasy...contains Vitamin E and a bunch of essential oils. I get it from the spa I go to in upstate NY.

I like Olay Body Quench. It says that it mositurizes for 24 hours and it's not very greasy. Nivea has some good mosituziers too and they're not very greasy either.
