why do u dance where u dance?

just a question how do you choose the club u dance at? I ask mainly because ive heard of clubs charging different fees and so forth just wondering mainly because the club i work at (promotions and events) is new and were having a hell of a time getting girls in we have a 10$ floor fee no tip outs and now are offering shift pay so even if u come in and have a bad day u still leave with money in your pocket its a really nice layout good clientelle (still building clientelle need girls to bring in custys) offering safe reliable drivers flexable hours and freindly staff. with all those componants its still a chore getting girls in i mean we do have clients but alot of walk in one drink walk out because of our lack of girls ( mind u weve only been open about 2-3 weeks) so im just wondering what else would entice girls to join our team? just a question thanks

I work where I work not b/c the tip outs are low...gosh no..but they arent high either. I work at my 2 clubs (1) because I make good money at least one and can count on the other to make up for losses. (2) because most SC's here suck alot and its alot easier on the body to just sit and wait for custys.

I do remember working at a smaller club that had the roller rink type, flat, neon carpet and was super small. It had about the same tip outs as other clubs but it had a relaxed small club feel to it.

I would so go for $10 stage fee and no mandatory tip outs! I would try to set up a website featuring some of the hot dancers that would like to be on it. Run an add in the local independant magazine maybe to entice locals. Ive lately been hearing radio commercials for SC's here as well.

My rule of thumb is no per-shift tip outs over $60. If I don't profit I won't return.

In my region, good clubs are hard to come by. If you feel you can treat dancers well at your biz, advertise, advertise. The girls will get word-of-mouth going.

Tell us where you're at, and maybe you can get some SW girls over to check your place out!

I stumbled across my club by accident. It's new and small so business is slow, but I stay because the management is professional, the place is clean and safe, there are plenty of cameras and no extras or theft, and almost everybody there is good to work with. It's also pretty close to my regular day job so I can bring my stripper-bag with me and go straight over after work if I get out early enough. And the house fees are low by L.A. standards, and we don't have a set schedule; I can just come in whenever I want. So I don't mind only making $100-200 a night, and occasionally I make more than that. It's just a part-time second job anyway, so I can sacrifice a little extra money for the convenience and professional environment.

My reasons for my home club:
I make good, consistent money there.
    They get a steady clientel.
    My regulars.
A hustle club - you have to be on top of it to work there or other girls will move in - I don't sit around making friends with other girls. Which I think is a plus.
A good DJ, I like working with.
Freedom - great scheduling (shift choices) and no stupid rules about drink hustles or specials or any of the stuff I hear about on this board.
Average stage fees - but that's irrelavent, because I make good money there.
And finally, I'm just used to it.
I'm confused, but the Chewbacca Truffle Shuffle cleared it up. - Emily

Well, the club he is talking about, is pretty good. I went in and checked it out, its cute, clean, nice stage but really there were like no girls and they were all the same background. All kind of looked alike. Its true, the drivers are nice and there is a shift pay which is cool, plus only 10 dollar floor fee. The club is called Divas, it used to be the Whiskey West....out in brampton. Tomorrow night which is Wednesday, October 19th...theyre having Amateur night there($500 to the winner). It does get pretty busy tomorrow, but its true what he said guys come in have a drink dont see any girls and they leave (i saw this when i was checking the club out on friday).....so any girls wanna come check it out with me pm me or right on here...i can even get you a ride if your in the toronto-mississauga area...let me know all!

I work at Scores Las Vegas because it feels like my family.
I'm friends with the managers, I can walk up to the owner and talk to him.
I also make some pretty good money.
One thing bad is they have been hiring too many girls and they arent as into the family feeling.

    1. Consistant income, the club has to at least be able to keep the traffic coming in, it is my job to get them to spend.
    2. Must serve alcohol. If the club is a juice bar, the contact levels are too high for my comfort usually, and the customers are generally more uptight then in full alcohol service bars.
    3. Minimal drama. If the drama levels are high, I will leave and not come back.
    4. Flexible scheduling. I will work for other clubs, and I won't work for a club that is wanting me to shcedule with them exclusively.
    5. Controling the number of dancers working. If the bar makes money from food and drink sales, then they can contol the number of dancers working. Obviously if the bar seats only 60 customers, it is ridiculous to schedule 20 dancers. Also know your traffic. If Sundays are extremely busy, schedule more dancers on that day. If there is money the girls will happily work.
    6. The least important reason why I choose a place to work is the house fees and tip outs. Sure, I want them to be low, but ultimately I need to make money. If I'm having a good night I always tip out more then the minimums anyway.

Promote yourself and earn more money! This is a business that is owned by strippers for strippers. Let's make that money!

I work where I work because I feel like a person and not a number. The DJs know what I like to hear and I never have to bug them. If there is an emergency and I can't come to work, I don't have any repurcussions when I do come in. OTOH, I don't abuse this by cancelling last minute or often.

There is a shift pay which takes care of your tip-outs so my tips are all my own. The regulars are generous and the milage is low so I'm not worried about getting busted because of someone else's mistake.

This is typical of most of the bars around where I live. Big money? Nope. But when I walk away from a night with $250.00 for a few hours work and no stress, it's worth it to me. I've had my days of 500 to 1000 a night and nothing but blisters, an aching back and crying from all the hustle.

Can you tell it's almost time for me to hang it up? LOL

I dance full time and have chosen to work in small Upper Midwestern and Montana towns that work on 6 night weekly bookings with base pay. These clubs work a controlled amount of girls per night, so my income is more stable. Plus I am usually the only black girl in these clubs. Only 4-7 girls work per night here.

EVERY big city I have worked in has more dancers than they need and my earnings put me in precarious financial situations. It is hard for me to consistently earn 4 figures a week in big city clubs.

In the small clubs I have customers who keep in touch with me and many customers there have favorite dancers they patronize. That helps the money a lot. In big city clubs guys have more selection of dancers and less repeat business so the money is not as stable.

    That is my experience.

I had to look at my options when my last club closed down.

Club A was nude, and I am not yet comfy with nude... It also has maintained a reputation for prostitution... not on my top ten list of things I like...

Club B is a topless trailer. Um... no.

Club C is the sister club to where I used to work. Its bigger, its in a tourist town, and it brings in good money. The owner is an asshole and the staff could improve their attitudes. I declined.

Club D brings in good money but gets into too much trouble for my tastes.

Club E is where I am now. Its one of the bigger clubs, in a tourist area, brings in good money. It always has busy weekends, and the folks I work with that actually talk to me are great people.

I refuse to work where I am miserable, I dont care if I could bring in a grand a night... I also cant work in a club that gets into trouble. I have a gov't job, and my standards are high. I havw no room for drug busts, prost. busts, etc....

Is this true across the board? I've never heard of this before.

    Geographical convenience.
And it's kind of scuzzy. I don't like tough competition. In strip clubs. I don't want to have to compete against girl like you all. I'd get my ass kicked. And if I have 5 consecutive shifts in which my average is less than 300 I'm not coming back. Right now, considering how seldom I work it would be a higher average, or a lower number of consecutive shifts. But when I work full time that is my rule.
