    Foundations/Powders for oily skin?

Can anyone reccomend a good matte foundation and powder for oily skin? Something that will last. Right now i'm using this one that's pretty good, it's like a dry mousse by Maybeline. Skin stays matte & it lasts pretty long. But I want to know if there's any others I should try.

    Thanks.

I like Studio Fix by MAC... It has good coverage for a powder, I really hate icky sticky liquid foundations on my skin...

ugh, me too! but this one i'm using currently feels like a mousse and dries up like powder & lasts a pretty long time. good stuff, not bad for a maybeline product. I def. want to get a good powder though. May stop at a MAC counter for that one, thanks.

I keep reading good things about Bare Minerals, but i'm not sure if that would make my skin look cakey a few hours later??

I have REALLY oil skin and bare essentials is the only make-up that I will use on my face. I started using it about 2 months ago and it is amazing. It helps A LOT with shine and I have barely been breaking out since I have been using it.
I think I have tried almost every type of foundation and bare essetials is the only one that has actually worked for me.

And Vyanka, It actually last's a long time on my skin. I carry a compct and maybe touch up my chin and nose once a day.
Seriously go to sephora and get the box with the 2 color foundations, the bronzer and the brushes. I promise you will love it.

I used to have to use those oil blotter sheets on my face all day and was constantly reapplying my powder. And my skin would always feel oily. Now I just put my make-up on in the morning and my skin looks shine free most of the day. You may have to put a little more powder on with the brush later in the day but this stuff does not get cakey.

i have mega oily skin as well... ortho tri cyclene has reduced it slightly... but i find that using almay loose powder works great for it, as well as a coverup with a good smooth texture, i swear by a no-name brand you can find at sally beauty supplies, called "my spots are concealed" made by cosmetically sealed industries.

Yeah, see that's what I was afraid of about the Bare Essentials... thought it would make my face look like a pearl instead of flawless matte. lol. Thx for that info Maggs.

I tried the Bare Minerals... I watched the video over and over... I was never really happy with the way my skin looked in the daytime (regular light)... I just couldn't ever get the stuff to blend right.

A lot of girls I work with love it... But just like me, quite a few had the same problem...

I didn't know they sold it at Sephora... Wish I went there before forking out ~60.00 off TV...

As for the Studio Fix... I use a little concealer underneath... Really for a powder it covers like foundation.

Studio Fix rocks, and if you find that you have oily eyelids (the makeup slides off easily) MAC also makes a "Mattifyer" that you put on underneath and it continually soaks up the oils on your lids and holds the shadow in place. I use shadow and a liner brush rather than an eye pencil and the mattifyer really gets it to stay put.

Studio Fix is a little too matte. It's great for work and really holds up in a club, but Bare Minerals is a lot better for "real life". It actually holds up pretty well in a club too though.
