Default Best City to Dance In

I'm thinking I'll take a stripping vacation around January or February and go dance somewhere else for a month or so. I'd really like to see some mountains and/or snow (which I don't get in Los Angeles), but I'm told that I could really clean house for very little effort in Atlanta and Miami. Anyone know anything about these cities and where the good clubs are? And what about a nice wintery place? If there's somewhere big for the Super Bowl, I might even be able to head out that way.

I am comfortable with full nudity and moderate-to-hard contact (grinding is okay, extras and handjobs definitely are not, and I don't want to have to grind anybody to orgasm or anything). I think most cities fall within that range. Suggestions, anyone?

Superbowl is in Detroit, and its serious money, but I don't know anything about the dance scene there. It doesn't matter though, most of the customers that week are from out of town, away from the wives, and many go to SC every evening.

Would it be worth a trip to Detroit to be there for the Super Bowl, do you think?

Detroit clubs are very extras-heavy. You might make money for the Superbowl, but the main obstacle is finding accommodations, as they're usually sold out for months before. Detroit being the sketchy city it is, you don't want to end up in a room at a place that rents rooms by the hour/crack den.

Vegas has good money potential, but it goes both ways. The good thing is that rooms can be had for cheap, but there's heavy competition and there are many good dancers who can barely make their tip-outs many nights.

My personal favorite city to dance in was New Orleans. The tip-outs were low, contact was moderate to low, CR rates were high (like $400/hr and we kept it all) and rent/accommodations were cheap. Alas, things are very different there now.

I've never worked in Miami, but I've been told by many dancers that contact is very high and extras are very common.

Sometimes the best places to make money are a bit more out of the way. Keep in mind that January is very slow, as people are just recovering from holiday spending. Minneapolis could be a good option. Clubs in towns like there and Milwaukee are busy since it's the only place that time of year you can see a little skin!

If you wanna take a trip across the boarder id recomend Niagara Falls Ontario. I know a lot of girls that go down there for a break and clean house. And the only fees are the $40 club fee to work every night. Im not sure what it would be like in the winter... Also i've been told all those little boarder towns are great for money. Quebec is another good place.

New Orleans USED to be one awesome city to dance in.Not for a long time though.

Well if you don't like extra and stuff don't go to Niagara since all the clubs there are extra clubs, the least being Sundowner where it's true you could make money but it's high contact, nude dances and i'm pretty sure they do extra. Quebec is also high in contact ( the guy's are allowed to touch your boobs and ass but you keep your underwear ). It all depends what you're comfortable with.

Wow I didnt think Niagara was all extras... my friends who are dancers just got back from there they did a week and pulled in a couple of g's and they dont do any extras and will break a guys neck if they try and grab their tits...
I dont know anything about Quebec... i've just heard its good money. Toronto area has lots of great clubs too... Brass Rail, Whiskey A Go Go, For Your Eyes Only and Lancaster just to name a few.

Well she's American and so coming to dance in licenced Toronto will not be a good plan. (Unless she's a dual citizen like mom from canada or something)

Niagara is pure extras like bj for $40 (that's CANADIAN).

What about ski areas? I think we have some active posters from Colarado - what about either Aspen or the other ski area (i forget what its called). Or what about Maine - I know lots of rich old dudes who go there to ski.

Anyone on here work in a ski town??

I've heard the SC scene in maine is shit... and yea i didnt think she would want to cross the boarder. But as i mentioned a lot of boarder towns(even on the us side) are supposed to be really good. And im sure a Ski town would be great money. Everyone is there to burn their cash.

Well there's no snow here but there's mountains. HA. 2gs in a week - I'll make that in 3 days here in Jan-Feb. Business is good here, especially in winter. Only thing is, you have to get licensed to work in city of Phoenix now, so if that's a problem go elsewhere. There are places to dance in suburbs without license but from what I gather, it's not as good as working in the city.

I'm thinking that for the most part, areas with cold climates might not be the best places to go for money in winter. Just like areas with hot climates dry up in summer - but there could be some exceptions. New Orleans was always better in winter, so are Las Vegas, Puerto Rico and Phoenix - get the pattern?

So far it looks like Phoenix or Colorado. I hadn't thought about the ski town thing but that's brilliant, you're right! Lots of people on vacation in the snowy mountains with not much to do at night after they've skiied all day, and wealthy people go skiing to burn money. I'm definitely going to look into that. If anyone has info on ski towns, I sure would love it.

Failing that, Phoenix sounds good, especially the $2G in 3 days part. What club are you at, Bridgette, and how's the licensing situation best handled? Does your club take short-term dancers?

Niagara isn't all extras. Seductions... yes, from what I heard while I was there though I didn't dance there myself. Crystal and Sundowner are not extras clubs at all but I'm not saying it doesn't happen

You can get by in Detroit if you're not a dirty hooker and still bank if you're out there for a week. Toy Chest or Flight Club. But to work in the city of Detroit, you need a dance card. Those things are like $200, don't know if that's worth it for a week vacation.

I knew a girl who worked Sundowner in Canada and she said it's possible to break a thousand with no extras but you better be special. Too many girls. You can also just fudge to Customs about exactly what you plan to do on your trip...but you didn't hear that from me.

Ditto with Bridgette on Phoenix. I make better $$ in Phoenix than I did 3 years ago when I would fly to Vegas and pull all nighters. I convinced MissPortia to come out here in July and now she's hooked!

Most of the Phx clubs are welcoming to traveling dancers. There is no schedule at the bigger clubs (HiLiter, Bourbon, Christie's) just show up when you want to work. Hi Liter and Bourbon are the most laid back. IMO Bourbon is the hardest club in the city to get hired. CC is a bit more stuffy with their rules on costuming (no booty shorts and 5 hour shifts) but I'm a gown club kinda girl so it doesn't bother me.

    Good luck

Hi, I just moved to Phoenix from Detroit (suburbs), so here's what I think about both cities...

    Detroit:
Yuck! The economy is so bad there and barely any money in the clubs. Hockey season is back so I'm sure that has helped dancers pay their bills. The only club downtown is Bouzouki's and will probably be the busiest during the Superbowl. I am not saying this is a great club by any means and when I worked there, it was for hockey, football, auto show, only events that would bring in money. And this was about two years ago, when it was much cleaner, the girls were much hotter, and the economy was not so terrible. Keep in mind this club hires whatever will walk through the door and pay the house fee, their house girls are not that hot anymore. Plus I've heard their new manager is a complete asshole. Their hotties do make money on event nights and the Superbowl will be a whole week!!

You do have a few other clubs you could work at. 8 mile has quite a few, I suggest Coliseum and Trumpps. Flight Club is known for having the hottest girls, but I've also heard they are the dirtiest girls. I do not know if this is true or not, I've never worked there as it was on the other side of town for me. This is another thing, if you do not stay right downtown, which I'm sure is all booked up, you will need a car to get around. And Detroit is not easy to navigate, it's a bunch of old roads just thrown together. The dancer license is $280- 250 for the license, 10 for a felony clearance, 5 for a traffic clearance, 5 for id pics. You have to go to a different place for each one and it takes all day unless you get up really early to do it.

    Phoenix:
If you live in LA, just come here!! Dancing in Phoenix is so easy and low stress. I can count on 3-500 a night, more if I'm lucky. I worked at Christie's-Phoenix, beautiful club, but not for me. They make you sell their merchandise crap and if you're already giving dances and making money, you have to stop and run upstairs, buy a hat or whatever from the housemom, then try to sell it. They do have a lot of beautiful girls working there, so I'm sure they are making enough money to put up with it. It seemed to me that this is a club where a lot of the girls have been there for awhile and have regulars they can count on.

I tried Hi-Liter, not for me, either. It's not very nice, but they do have some hotties that I did see making money. As long as you pay the house fee, you can work as long or as short a shift as you want, come and go as you please, so that's cool.

I work at Skin and I love it there. That said, it's definetly not for everybody. It's very, very small, but it fills up quick. It's kinda nightclub-like, but a really fun environment if you like to have a good time. Some girls complain that the crowd is too young, but hey, they are trust fund babies and have money to spend. It's cool that I get to dance for a decent number of hot guys each night, something I've never experienced before. Plus, it's been the only place I've made decent consistent money in Phoenix. I think it's about finding a place where you're comfortable.

After moving here, I will never ever dance in Detroit again, not even for Superbowl money. Not because I make more money here, but because the money is easier to make and I feel good about myself when I go home. The $10 dances do suck, but at least they are very easy to sell and low contact. In Detroit, the girls are grinding dick so hard, they all look like crotch jockeys. And a lot of them are letting guys grab their breasts and ass, and much more. I'm sure it will be ok for the Superbowl, but more hassle than it's worth. Not to mention you will be freezing your ass off, especially if you're from Cali.

Thank God I am done with Detroit winters!!!

Seriously Phoenix is awesome, I encourage you to try here.

    Hope this helped...

    Rose

How is business in arizona during the last part of Dec. and the 1st 2 weeks of Jan? Also, do you have to get a business license to try dancing in Phoenix for a week or so? I am studying to be a nurse, so if I were to get a license, dance in phoenix, then ended up moving to phoenix, finishing school & trying to get a job, would the license prevent me from doing so?

Y'all are really selling me on Phoenix. I hate the desert and was hoping to get away from it for awhile, but if the money is that good and easy, I'll go. Do I need a license or anything? Do I call the club first or how does it work? I'll probably dance Dec. 27-Jan. 2 or so. How is New Year's Eve and what's the best club for that night?

I'm glad you found "the right" club for you Latinarose!

It is decent at the end of Dec with the Insight Bowl and Fiesta Bowl in town. I've never worked New Years Eve night, but I'm sure ANY club will certainly accomodate you if you want to work. I don't think there is any "best club" specifically for New Years Eve. Like Latinarose said, you just have to find the club that fits your own vibe. The first two weeks of January aren't super awesome, but not in anyway bad....just normal.

The license is $25. You apply for it on the 10th floor of the municipal building at 200 W Washington St (2nd Ave and Washington) It takes about 10 minutes. They "say" it's confidential and won't show up in a routine background check...but I'm sure the FBI could find it. I work with a girl at CC who is a nurse at Children's Hospital and she didn't have a problem getting a nursing job. Another girl at CC is a youth counselor for the city of Scottsdale. I've had two background checks since I got it a year ago and it didn't show up.

Who issues the license? I want to call them and see when they'll be open. I may have to take a long weekend to head out there and get the license in advance if they won't be open the day after Xmas.

Unless you are a shark, avoid major event situations like superbowl or Vegas. Those are places for glamazons, and post-op trannies. They will be overwhelmed with girls and guys and almost every custy is gonna' want some cheap ass b4 he has to go back home to wifey...
