    Tell me about it!
I am supposed to be leaving for Jamaica tomorrow morning!! It is only 200 Km's off shore from Negril!!!
But I have moved my trip to hedonism2 until the end of November.
I hope it isn't going to be as devastating as they say it could be!

Yeah.. Apparently this one is supposed to be the biggest (and worst one) ever. I shudder to think of how a hurricane could be worse than Katrina was (in recent history, that is).

They expect this thing to weaken significantly as it approaches Florida.

What may be scarier here is that some of the forecast tracks have this thing creeping up the East Coast and possibly spitting feeder bands into New England after it smashes through Florida.

^Haha.. No kidding, Doc. My In-Laws have been visiting us (From RI) since Monday. They're "drying out" while they're here. I just read your post to my Father-In-Law, and he said "Oh great! Just what we need!" They just came off a 9-day straight stretch of that stuff.

I hate when Ft Myers gets these! Everyone is too scared to come to the club! And of course it always happens on the damn weekends!

Add to that I am worried about my cat and I...

It could be a 3 when it hits FL. My bf's parents are, as of the projected path now, directly in Wilma's eye. We just called them, they're not too freaked out yet. They've been in FL so long they said they're used to it. I can't imagine being "used to" that. I hope it weakens seriously before it hits FL and we don't get slammed up here on the east coast from it. We don't need anymore rain here in the NYC area. Blah! Damn hurricane season is outta control!

    to follow the path..

Hold on tight FL people... hopefully it will weaken before it hits you...
Im kinda worried about my family... the predeicted path puts them at the end of it so they wont get hit nearly as hard at FL but its still scary...
Can you believe they have run out of names for hurricanes this year.. Apparently this means we're in for a rough winter...

Yeah honestly this just sucks. I understand that they have to err in the side of caution when predicting its trajectory, esp. in the wake of Katrina, but as forecasts look now, it's as though all of FL will be hit. Seriously, I don't even know where to go if they suggest evacuation for the Tampa Bay area, because all the charts indicate that Wilma is going to engulf the entire state.

    That sounds great to me.

Well, I called my aunt last night. She was calmed more than I was, and told me her and the rest will be fine. So i'm a bit at ease after I spoke with her.
