    Default RUDE! ( rant )

What is it with these guys that think it's cool to have a phone attached to their ear while they are in the SC? Is this some sort of fashion statement?

It's downright rude. Then again I understand, some gentlemen use their phones for work and such. They even do work at the strip club. This is not a new idea - then again it seems like manners have been flung out the window with evey other commen decency in this enlightened day and age.

I was reminded again last night just how rude some people can be. I guess because I am southern it is a big deal to be polite and pleasant.

No home training!!! Some Mommas just need to be slapped, a bunch for raising such ignorent sons.

I actually have a real problem with phones being out because of cameras and internet abilities on them. I will have the bouncers tell the guys to put their phones away (I am not concerned in the slightest with their work and I am concerned with them taking my picture or that of one of my colleagues on their phone. Put it on vibrate and put it in your pocket; take it out to answer and then PUT IT AWAY again immediately.) It's never been a problem with a guy using it for work, I might add - because they know perfectly well that it doesn't need to be out on the table to ring. The guys that object are pretty shifty - I don't mean looking, I mean if you point out (as nicely as possible) that they can still answer a phone in their pocket by simply removing and then replacing they get very weird about having to monitor it, and they have absolutely no understanding of the signs that frequently say "no cell phones or cameras" and refuse to understand that saying "I promise" isn't necessaritly adequate guarantee.

Some folks just have cell phone seperation anxiety and can't get away from the damn things. And it's not just at the strip club, its...

...at the movie theatre while you're trying to watch
...at the nice restauraunt while you're trying to eat
...while driving while you've trying to get home safely
...while in line for the subway, bus, or taxi
...on the subway, bus, or taxi
...at the store standing in a high traffic area, blocking everybody
...while walking on the sidewalk and not paying attention to other pedestrians

Personally, I only carry mine on the road to deal with emergencies, so if I don't need it inside where I'm going, I just prefer to leave it in the car. I don't want to lose it inside the SC, and certainly don't want a dancer to sit on it while giving me a dance.

cell phones have bred a whole new niche of rudeness. It's not just SCs.

Theatres. Turn your damn phone off before you sit down. AND DON'T EVEN DARE TO ANSWER OR TALK ON IT ASSHOLE.

Restaurants. No one wants to hear your conversation. Go outside if you must use your cell phone. This is not your house nor your office. Asshole.

Elevators! You can't wait to use your phone til you're off the elevator??It's 8 flights! Asshole.

The older I get, the less patience I have with assholes.

Several years ago I heard a bartender tell a story about a customer in [club name] who called his wife to tell her he was working late, then took a nasty dancer to champagne, accidentally hit the redial button, and gave his wife the opportunity to tape 44 minutes of dirty talking before he realized what he had done. End of marriage.

I have since learned that "44 Minutes" it is an urban legend told often in many clubs.

I don't know how people can hear their cell phone in a SC. I couldn't have a conversation on it if I tried over the loud music and D.J.. I live by my cell phone for business, its how all my customers contact me, but the second I walk in a club I turn it off. That's what they make voice mail for.

Why would I even bring my cell phone in to the club? I go to relax, to escape, to get lost in a tantalizing world of beauty and naughtiness; so why screw that up? I don't want to be found, to be contacted, to do business, or anything else that involves interrupting my escape.

Guess I'm just old fashioned and don't really get the whole cell phone mindset.

    ok the flip side....

    fuck you guys,i got 14 in my dj booth,now what<<<puffs out chest>>

Its a 100 dollar fine for a entertainer to have one on the floor.

Each one of those 14 i know it wont be...

    dealers looking for a forcast.
    Bored boyfriends.
    jelouse boyfriends checking up.
    ugh,Custies.
babysitters who dont know what to do with a dirty diaper or a "cough".
parents wondering why you aint home yet.
    etc etc yadda yadda

When one of those phones, set to vibrate,(so they will wobble off the top shelf in the dj booth regardless of how loud the dj and the music gets)goes off,the world stops, and i start making excuses why the entertainer who belongs to it should come to the bridge, stat.

Its all in how ya look at it.

I even have pity for the random custie, business is business, fuck a strip joint, thats just where ya chose to set up office at the time.

so yea,its all in your personal view of it all,and for whom the bell tolls,at whatever time the phone rings.

Ah yes, I beleive it was in the C-Room at Marios...Yeah, the classics never get old Sporty....

I once saw a dancer answer her phone as it was ringing in her purse while she was onstage-it was her immigration lawyer....

    But seriously....

I'm with JZ. My phone is my clock and it's in vibrate mode even when I'm NOT in a SC. I use my cell as my business phone but I resist the thought process that says you can-or should-be available 24/7. I go to a SC to relax and escape for a bit.

My friend has actually talked on her phone for her whole set. It was funny to see the looks on customers faces. Thing that made it funny for me was she was still bending over and dancing her moves as she was talking. (like second nature) If a guy is talking on the phone on my stage 99% time I take it and tell that person to come in,95% of the time the guy that had the phone tips me extra for it.

I was dancing for this guy who usually comes in with his friend. They are younger guys (27ish) and I love chatting with them. Usually the other guy spends a lot on me, and we all have a good time. This night in particular the other guy who I don't dance for was there alone and I convinced him to get a dance. While dancing, his phone went off, he answered it and it was his friend. He said "haha, I've got your girl here" or whatever, and then the other guy demanded I speak to him "show him a good time" or something. And then he kept calling. It was so weird. I definitely sense some homoerotic tension between the two, or at least I like to think so.

I'm guilty of bringing my phone into the club. Its in vibrate mode though. I rarely answer a call there and certainly dont dial any. But I like to know who's trying to get hold of me from a business point of view. My fav understands if I have to step out for a minute to return a call. Its money in my pocket and quite a bit of it winds up in her garter.

Actually, you lot here in the US are lucky that text messaging hasn't really caught on yet. In the UK everyone's got their phones out text messaging people very few seconds. Can be rather distracting if you're trying to concentrate on a gorgeous bird putting on a great show on stage while the phone of the bloke next to you is beeping every few seconds.

Ok another angle to look at.....

    The phone rings......

Some guys, doesnt matter if they are in the middle of sex, they will stop and pick up the phone.(whoever is calling is possibly better then the sex)

Many guys might stop during sex, check the caller ID,then decide to answer or not.(the sex is just ok,maybe the phone call will be better)

Then you got the guys, who are being entertained, the phone rings, they dont even pick it up to check the caller ID.

If you have a mans attention, they wont even hear the phone or feel it vibrate.

Im not saying anyone here, but imo,if you lose the attention of a man to a phonecall, your didnt really have his attention in the first place.
this doesnt apply to real world, but it does apply to the fantasy world inside a strip club.

    Its scientific...
Paper beats rock, rock beats scissors, scissors beats paper, pussy beats cell phones.

I remember once, at club that had a tip-walk, four guys that would watch the dancers intently, hoot and hollar, and when she left the stage to start her tip-walk, would mysteriously have to get up to check their phones. Was VERY rude.

There are a few times where I don't mind the guys having a cell, say they're waiting for their friends to meet them or something. But, generally, if you've paid the cover and the drink min. just to sit in the club on your cell, WTF is wrong with you?

i agree it is rude... some customers used to appear to get into convos on it to avoid tipping (i am polite i will not interrupt a phone conversation...) but it gets old after your 3rd stage perfermance... my rule; bring your phone... just PLEASE use it in the bathroom or somewhere where you will not have to ignore those doing their job to answer it.
