How often do you excersize and what types of excersizes do you do? I'm trying to get into shape and drop some weight but i'm having a hard time with it, as well as staying motivated as well! I'd love to hear what you all do to keep in shape!

What about getting a personal trainer? I'm sooo lazy, every time I go to they gym I only do cardio, and that's about it. So, I already hired one and we're starting next week.
It can be a little pricey, but I think it's worth it.

I do 30-45 min. of cardio 5 days a week. I mix up the type of cardio . One day it may be treadmill, another day it might be rollerblading or ice skating and yet another day it might be biking and still another day salsa or bellydancing.
3 days a week I also add strength training and/or stretch excersise such as Pilates ,Yoga or weights.
I let my body rest two days a week. One in the middle of the week and one weekend day.
get up.. eat... goto work... GYM?? whats that?![]()
I'm sorta psycho about excercise. But I love it!! It makes me feel GREAT and plus I can eat and drink pretty much whatever I want and not have to stress that I am gaining weight......
Here is what I do, in a week (It's a lot, lol)
Tuesday-Saturday Wake up....run 5 miles....come home, stretch out.
2 days a week:
kickboxing classes... (and not that cardio kickbox... REAL kickbox!! Yeah baby)
2 days a week
All about abs class at the gym... it's a 45 minute ab workout
5 days a week....
20 minutes of pilates
2 days a week...
weight lifting.
2 days a week
Advanced Jazz & Ballet class.
I don't do this just for work, I LOVE to work out!! If personal trainers made more money I would be one! LOL
I just realized how much of a spaz I really am...after writing out my whole routine for the week...lol...
oh my god.. i thought i was an exercise maniac.. haaa.. well good for you for keeping in such good shape Jackson!!! i run five miles a day, five days a week.. i lift everyday too, and do abs and pushups after my workout.... i want to do some kickboxing again as well.. i loved doing it when my school offered it......
you all sound like you've got it down for the most part. I've been trying to stick to my routine but sometimes i find myself slipping lol.
so far this is what i do...
M-W-Th-Sat. : upper body and abs - 15 min. each, Cardio - 15 to 20 min.
T-Fri-Sun : Lower body, (butt, legs, abs unless they hurt bad) - 15 min. each, Cardio 15 to 20 min.
Tuesday : Pole Dancing Class (2 hours)
Thursday and Saturday: Tae Kwon Do and Boxing
So i guess i'm doing the right things, just have to keep up with it and maybe up my cardio a bit when i feel like i'm not going to have a heart attack lol!

ok so i see you are exercsing.. i would still up the cardio a little though ferra
lol Thanks! Now you know why i get so discouraged sometimes lol, i'm getting up and moving, it's just not working as fast as i'd like i guess.
Cardio is probably the main thing to melt away the fat so i guess i'll focus more on that and try to get up there to at least 45 minutes.

I'm jealous, you're taking a pole dancing class! I need to take one.. there's a couple of tricks I can't figure out for the life of me, and I don't have an opportunity to practice, seeing as how I don't want to look retarded on a stage in front of everyone...lol
I just started the Billy Blanks Boot Camp series. I'm still on the first DVD, "Basic Training." The set came with the resistance bands and OH MY G-D that is a workout!! I'm really sore from it today but it's a good thing. I really need to firm up and tone.
I'm going to start a 6-week pole class in a couple of weeks too. I hope to buy a pole for my apartment sometime after the New Year and I'll work out at home on that. I love what it does for the arms, and mine are my worst problem area.
