Since I've been about 15 or so, I've worn contacts. Since I've gotten into the exotic dancing business I've used contacts with unusual color schemes to help masque me a little and bring out another persona (I like to wear blue or green colored lenses when my natural eye color is brown) that I use for work, my dancer persona if you will. I liked contacts, for a long long time, it sure beat wearing glasses which I had to do when I was in my very early teens. Contacts to one degree or another have become a large part of who I am, they help me create sub identites, they liberated me from wearing glasses.
Anyway, over the past few months I've had an eye infection, lost contacts, and had a number of problems. So I am seriously considering getting lasik eye surgery done, I've done a lot of reading up and a lot of people say it's safe and you have a few horror stories here and there. I guess I have two issues, I'm obviously paranoid of anything happeneing to my vision that isn't correctable, and the second part more has to do with an attachment to wearing them which I'm certain sounds somewhat silly. Anyone have any experience with lasik?
