    Default I feel really bad

I hope I did the right thing. I didnt mean to hit there car.
Heres what happened: I was trying to parallel my car downhill btwn these to cars trying not to hit either of them. After I put my car into reverse I couldnt back up fast enough and I hit the car in front of me. I didnt dent it or anything just left my little blue marks on the back of it.

Ive been trying really hard to be a better driver ya know not speed and not be an asshole driver. So, I wrote them a note saying if they needed their car to be repainted or anything they can call. I left my name and number as well.

I also went back outside and took a picture of their car in case they wanted to say I caused more damage than what actually happened.

Did I do the right thing here? Oh I feel so bad right now and shaky.

Actually you're a lot better person than most people. I wouldn't worry about that too much because a minor scratch will usually come out with some rubbing compound. The pieces of human garbage that sometimes park next to my car are usually less careful. My doors constantly get dinged even though our parking spaces are huge compared to other parts of the country. If I ever caught one of these people in the act, I would key the Hell out of their POS.

When I went to Driving School years ago, they explained what to do in the event that you hit an unattended car. You did the exact same thing we were told to do. You left your name and number for them to contact you if they need to. You did the right thing.

Hitting a car, or getting into an accident of any kind is a definite bummer, but you handled it well.

Thank you for the input Im calming down slowly.
Do you think it was ok to still park behind them afterwards? Im afraid to move b/c I might rear end them again by trying to reverse.

You did the right thing; some people wouldn't even bother to leave a note.

Wow, that was awesome of you. I had a new car for 2 months and it got really banged up in a parking lot one night. $2800.00 in damage. The driver of the other vehicle just took off. Just my luck that the cameras that were pointed at the parking lot section I was in were off line that night. The cops made the manager of the store go through the tapes just to see if we could get a look at the other car. But the cameras were really not working. Oh well, I hope Karma did it's thing.

So sorry to hear this Paris^.
Anyway, Tiger, sweetie, you did WELL, dear! &, you were very smalrt to take the pic, just in case. Don't beat yourself up, you are to be commended! I try to be a careful parker, but, going over my car the other day, see some scratches, & dings. I think my sh** neighbors have worked on it as well.
Once, after parking my car in a lot, I saw a lady in a brand new car, bang her door into mine, smile @ me, then walk in the store! I had a bottle of orange nail polish on me & man, it was all I could do not to 'use' it.

You did a great thing! Most people will not do anything about that. It happens. Like Red said, those surface scuffs/scratches usually come out with a good buffing. I hate taking my car downtown for anything. People are always bumping other people's cars. I've seen people PUSH the car in front or behind them with their own car to make space to park. Unbelievable. In fact, Scorpio and I were joking around the other day that you can tell who commutes to the city by car...their bumpers are completely dented, scratched, etc with the paint rubbing off.

Accidents happen...I am happy to know that there is someone out there who is willing to take responsibility for their actions.
