RIP Rosa
May she Rest in Peace.

She was a great lady, so brave in those times to do what she did.
MANY MEN WANTED TO LAY ME DOWN, BUT FEW WANTED TO LIFT ME UP

Her story will continue to inspire and educate for many generations to come. Godspeed to a great woman.

Man, I was hoping no one beat me to it. Good looking out Rhi! I'm glad someone posted a link up about this civil rights pioneer. I couldn't believe what I was reading....I don't know, it's like when some people die, you just can't help but sit back in awe. Someone like THEM couldn't have possibly passed on. I know she is in a better place though. She will never be forgotten, especially not by me.
Some Douchebag: "[Pimp C] 12:43 am: its true we got to stick together the black people on SW CK you is teh condoleeza of SW"
What a truly wonderful woman. RIP Rosa Parks.

On the newscasts that showed her last night, she looked pretty good for 92. She aged well and seemed still sharp. That was a worthwhile life, a person after my own rebellious but gentle heart.
I loved going to strip clubs; I actually made some friends there. Now things are different for the clubs and for me. As a result I am not as happy.
Customers are not entitled to grope, disrespect, or rob strippers. This is their job, not their hobby, and they all need income. Clubs are not just some erotic show for guys to view while drinking.

Yep Cin. Just imagine all the asses she'll be kicking upstairs. She was definitely a tough cookie.
threlayer... I've always read conflicting reports about Rosa's health. Some sources will say that she was perfectly fine up until the end came, others say she suffered from dementia. At any rate, she remained tough. Hell, she went after Outkast not too long ago for using her name, and taught them a lesson instead of seeking damages.
At any rate, she will be remembered always for changing history and refusing to back down. My kind of chick.

She trully left her mark in this world and made a stand that will live on forever !

Mrs. Parks, however, eventually saw her place in US history universally acknowledged. In 1965, Cleveland Avenue in Montgomery was renamed Rosa Parks Boulevard (she was arrested on a Cleveland Avenue line bus.) In 1996, Boston dedicated a city park to her on Walnut Avenue in Roxbury.
In 1996, she was awarded the nation's highest civilian honor, the Presidential Medal of Freedom."
It would take someone like Clinton to see to it this would happen.
Bless her heart.

She had a good life, no doubt. And she made every second of it count.
Here's the article where it mentions the Dementia. They say it's stated in court records:
It's the very last sentence. That article isn't about the Dementia, but instead the court case between her and Outkast.

Yeah, but the article says nothing else. The article I presented in part stated she had a stroke in 2003. Possibly those situations are related.

Some say that her act of civil disobedience about 50 years ago jumpstarted the civil rights movement. RIP Rosa, you've had a good life.
