A fool and his money . . . . . can sometimes make interesting news. What an idiot. I can't believe he would actaully make that public.

All I have to say to that is AHAHAHA SUCKER!
I know a dancer who got sued for $15,000. The judge threw it out of court because all of the "loans" were paid to her in the strip club. Although she rarely danced for this customer, he would come in regularly and hand her an envelope full of cash in the club. Luckily she files her taxes, and claimed the money as income earned at the club.
People don't pay taxes on loans.
Promote yourself and earn more money! This is a business that is owned by strippers for strippers. Let's make that money!

lol...PT Barnum was right
He's sounds like a total idiot: "How could I not know that she was lying to me? I gave her $3,000 and she said she lost it. So I gave her another $3,000. How could I have possibly known she was just taking the money and lying to me???!!!???"
You know...if they didn't have so many warning labels out there, people like this would not be around for this long.![]()

Oh please, i know niether this girl or her hubby are missing any sleep on this one. This guy is a total idiot.

Pathetic... I can't believe that a lawyer actually would take this case and represent this loser. Which reminds me that Congress is trying to pass a law right now that will go after attorneys who repeatedly file unbiased lawsuits. Too bad it won't be in effect for this trial.
I feel sorry for the girl in this case... Having to sit through this court case and hash it out in a public forum. That guy should tuck his tail between his legs and suck it up.

LOL! What's really funny to me, is now that he's FINALLY figured out he isn't getting laid, he's determined for his lawsuit that everything she ever said to him was a lie. He never knew anything about this chick and he doesn't know whether she went to CA, FL, Japan or not. She probably did, to work and got him to pay for the trip too. She probably never stopped dancing - funny that's the only thing she told him that he still believes. LOL
That guy deserved to be played. Holy shit what a dumbass!

OMG people lie?! Thats new...wow I am throughly shocked by this new discovery.
Hehee maybe the judge will smack him for his stupidity? I swear...people are entertaining.

That's not a defense for the Jennings, who now face significant legal costs. Hull no doubt has numerous e-mails and telephone conversations (AZ does not require notification of the other party) to substantiate an agreement and subsequent misrepresentations. Everyone loses except the lawyers.Originally Posted by Bridgette

At first I felt that this guy deserved what he got because he gave money to someone he did not know and made the promise to take her away from stripping, which we all know is an expensive proposition...and did so without knowing anything about her "real life". However, after reading some of the responses, I now feel that this "stripper" did engage in fraud. Yes of course one should always keep in mind that you girls are only selling fantasy...that somehow you are passive in the exchange...just making a living off of male biology. But where are the warnings? Where does it say in a club that men should remember that this nice girl paying attention to you really only wants your money and nothing else? I think it is important to keep in mind that people are at all levels of emotional and social maturity, and like it is not proper and maybe illegal to take adavantage of minors in sales maybe the fraudulent activities of the purveyors of fantasy should be examined as well. In this case the stripper engaged in fraud. We have no idea as to what she said or did to begin the engagement, but we can imagine.
I would love to take the case myself....nailing a couple of con artists to the wall would be fun. And I guess the more I think of it...maybe the industry itself is fraudulent at its root. Again, the feeling only emerged from the responses of the strippers themselves.
Well, offhand, nothing that the husband did either represented or misrepresented anything, because, by the plaintiff's own admission, he neither met, nor knew of the existence of this person. Or so it seems to me. Nor did he give anything to enrich the husband - everything he gave he gave to the woman, expecting it to be received and kept by her. He may as well sue shopkeepers where she bought things for having his money.
Lying, however, by itself, doesn't consititute fraud. And I don't think the customer, who met a stripper in a strip club, will be easily able to show that he reasonably relied on her statements - especially when he is simultaneously revealing that she would not tell him her name. And the legislation is not really intended to deal with monetary gifts - more life purchases and investments (and no, I don't think he can viably claim he was investing in her). It also, offhand, seems clear to me that the lawsuit is more malicious than the fraud. He is not expecting to get 175 000.00 back. He just wants to bankrupt them - so the issue, really, is that he just found she's married and he's pissed off. If they put up any kind of a fight he will tire of it and just go away on his own.

Yeah, the lawsuit is at least equally malicious. The one outcome I'd bet on here is that the Jennings end up bankrupt.Originally Posted by Jenny
I don't know - and, if all that is true, she did lie a whole lot (I don't know that it consitutes fraud, but is definitely wasn't nice), so it is hard to feel really sorry for her. And the plaintiff was just looking to buy her and is mad that someone else got her for free. So it's hard to feel sorry for him too. I personally have the hope for human nature, that when the plaintiff gets over being really, really pissed off he'll drop the suit - there is nothing for him to gain, so I hope the that the maliciousness will dim. Maybe in light of what got them here in first place that is excessively naive.

It's in cases like these, that it would have been cheaper for the dude to call the local escort service.![]()

I'd want to bankrupt them too! Doesn't seem that malicious to me....
Okay, what you are saying is that you would feel malicious as well - suing for damages when you know perfectly well there is no hope for recovery is, by definition, malicious. It means you are not trying to get your money back, you just want them to suffer. That is malice.Originally Posted by pinky
And Jay - I agree that the woman in question was really unethical (although her husband doesn't, on the face of things, seem to have anything to do with it. Except to get for free what the plaintiff was trying to buy). However, it is not any more acceptable to attempt to indenture people to you with money. He told her to quit dancing, and that he would support her and (ahem) "that they should get to know each other and become friends". He surely wasn't expecting that to be cheap. Over three years, that's less that 60,000.00. That's obviously a whole hell of a lot of money - but he couldn't have been expecting to pay a lot less if he was expecting to be her sole source of income.

This article ought to be linked to the next time we have a topic about leading a lucrative regular on. It might be initially profitable, but if he has pockets that deep to milk, he has pockets that deep for a lawyer.
Frankly speaking, whether there was any actual fraud here or not is irrelevant. He coughed over a whole bunch of money, didn't get the ROI he was seeking for it, and had some buyers remorse, so he sued. He's figuring if he can't get his money back, he might as well compound his losses so he can take the accused down with him.
Stupid, stupid, stupid on all accounts, and more bad press for the biz.![]()
Former SCJ now in rehab.

Without a doubt this girls husband knew what was going on. I'm sure she went home that night and told him. And why wouldn't she? Sure the guy is pissed and knows he may never see his money again...and probably shouldn't...but that does not excuse the behavior of a con artist couple like these described here.
maybe clubs do need warning signs such as....Danger, prolonged exposure to strippers has been shown to be habit forming. or, Warning, this establishment is a fantasy zone, please act accordingly when interacting with the employees.

Looks to me like the PL is implicating the husband on the assumption that he benefited from the money that the PL "donated" to the "ex"-stripper.
On the one hand, I'm feeling all Pollyanna and thinking, "Those mean people lied to the poor guy and bilked him of his money! Throw the book at them!"
On the other hand, I'm also thinking, "What an idiot. He wanted to be the KISA (Knight In Shining Armour) and just kept handing money to this girl he barely knew, all under the guise of being her 'friend'. Friends may help you move...friends may drive you to the airport...friends usually don't give friends $175K. Tough sh*t, kid."

Again - you can't sue someone for benefitting from something. They have to have wronged you. You might as well sue the stores she bought things in - they benefitted from the money too. I don't "not feel sorry" for him because he's stupid. I doubt he is, but even if he is, it doesn't matter. He did not hand over this money to be nice or to be her friend. He likely did not hand over money because he believed everything she said. He handed it over because he was trying to buy her - not fuck her, because nobody, no matter how rich or stupid spends 3 years and 175 thousand to fuck someone - but because he thought he could purchase her. This is not sweet or innocent, and frankly I think it is just as unethical as the woman (although I have to say again, we haven't seen that her husband has anything to do with it). And now, guess what, she can't be held to it, because we don't indenture people. And he is mad that someone else got for free what he thought he was leasing. These are none of them nice people, none of them innocent and none of them poor.
