Guess there are a few happy Sox fans...I'm not a Sox fan, but have a good friend who lives in Chicago who is a die hard Cubs fan.....Not a happy day for Cubbies fans, and they outnumber the Sox fans by alot.

I don't understand you cub fans. Everybody in the city was happy for you wehn the cubs were in the playoffs a couple of years ago. We got a new cat at that time and almost named him "Cubby" in honor of it. We were never rooting against the cubs. Most peopel were a littel sad wehn they lost. We just wanted to see ANY^ chicago team do well.
You cubs fans are so petty about this. Hell, it is a GAME. You are all to serious. And furthermore, nobody is asking you to give up your favorite team or your blue jersies. Is is so awful to see a chicago team do well?
What a bunch of sour grapes. Sheesh!

Damn right they deserve it! They played an awesome year and did well against some incredible teams. Houston and Anaheim were both worthy opponants, but the sox were clearly the better team in both caes.Originally Posted by tootsie

LOL...yeah...Now that I live in NYC it's unreal how the Yankees and Mets fans despise each other. I had never lived in a city with 2 baseball teams before. We went to Shea stadium this summer, my bf wore a yankees jersey and I couldn't believe the hostility from the Mets fans. Me, I enjoy going to both places. Oh well.Originally Posted by colleen

I was really surprised to learn that the Cubs outdraw the White Sox by 10,000 per game. When the Red Sox are in town, you see more red than white in whatever the new name is for Comiskey Park. US Cellular Field, right? What a geek name.Originally Posted by former_LV_dancer
