    Default getting jeans tailored

I've lost some weight (yay!) but now none of my jeans fit anymore. I'm not cheap with jeans and love designer ones because they fit so perfectly.

Now they are almost falling off. I guess there are worse problems.

So I'm debating selling them on ebay and starting over, or getting them tailored. Can that really work? Will they still look perfect? How much does something like that cost?

Depends on who does it and how much you need to take in. It shouldn't cost too much, but you have to find someone who is really good at that stuff. Otherwise, they won't fit right or they won't look right.

If you have to take in more than 3/4 of an inch, then it'll probably be better for you to sell them and buy some new ones that fit. Taking in more than that will cause them to start to look "off". Especially if you have jeans that have "special" things on it (designs, etc).

^ Agreed. There's only so much that can be done without being able to notice with a pair of jeans. You can get away with a whole lot more with something like a pair of dress pants or a skirt or something. If you think it might get messed up, I'd just sell them off and buy new ones.

that's what I was afraid of

I'll need to take in like 2 inches. They are size 30s. Now I'm a 28.

I guess now I have something to do today....go jean shopping!

tailoring can work, but i'd try it only with 1 pair to see how it worked.

    Love it!

I bought a pair of seven's and citizens of humanity jeans last fall. They fit fine in the dressing room but after I wear them a while they start to sag. I guess I thought I was bigger than I am. They were on sale, but I still paid a lot. Do you think I'll have luck reselling them? The thing is I've had them hemmed - a lot too, cause I'm 5'4". Anyone have any jean advice for this? Thanks.
