Default BA - Going from an A to a D?

I’m planning having my boobs done next summer, I’m currently an A cup but would like to be a D or maybe DD. But the other day I watched the show “I want a famous face” on MTV and the surgeon told a girl that it would be very difficult.
Is it true? I mean I remember seeing a lot of girls who has gone from an A to a D without any problems.

That's total BS.I went from an A to a DD with no problems at all.I have no idea why any plastic surgeon would say that.

Because if you don't have enough skin, you'll wind up with the over-filled balloon effect as the skin desperately stretches to cover the biggest implant the doc could stuff in there.

Well,if this is the case for some women, then I would suggest getting multiple surgeries to achieve the desired size if you wanna go big.A friend of mine got three surgeries in a period of 7 years. She went from 200 cc's,to 400 cc's to now,600 cc's.

Like Lilith said, you need to have enough skin. It's done all the time, but a lot of times they look bolted on

    go to http://www.implantinfo.com/photocent...earch_cup.html

and put "A" as the before and "D" as the after and you'll see what I'm talking about (lots of bad results, imo. ) If you do such a drastic increase, make sure you go to a very skilled surgeon. These are my favorite:

I'm going for a consult with this doctor (Dr DeWire) on Nov 7th. He's like a legend on the internet, so I can't wait to meet him

its also important to point out you need the right frame for it. if you have a tiny ribcage they will be popping out under your armpits.

Ive seen a lot of girls that just look like they have skin balloons stuck on to the front of them from getting them too big for their body size. It really depends on what your body type is and if you'll have enough skin to stretch to a D or DD.

Thank you so much for your replies!

And thanks Emily for the link – those boobs look amazing!
I must admit I was getting quite nervous when I saw boobs that looked like this:
    http://www.implantinfo.com/photocent...non/index.html

I’m definitely going to do a lot of research before I pick the surgeon, my biggest fear is to end up with to weird looking balls on my chest.

Wow...those things sit so high that the chick doesn't even need a bra! Maybe she wanted to be able to pop out of every shirt she owned or something...

What amazes me is that some of these women have nice boobies to begin with... so what they are small? Plus I personally (and a few PS would agree with me) would advise to wait to get anything done to you in re: until you are 25 yrs old. We're still developing up to that point.

there is also the option of post-op adjustable saline implants. With adjustable implants, if there is a skin stretch problem the implants can be left only partially filled at the time of the surgery. Then 2-3 months later, after the skin has had the opportunity to stretch and thicken, the doctor can gradually inject more and more saline to gradually increase the implant size.

Several 'boob jobs' back, I got a set of 850cc rated McGhan 133 implants - which were initially put in filled to 550cc. Over the next few months the doctor would inject another 75-100cc per month, and I finally wound up with these very same implants filled to 1300cc !

The weirdest part of having adjustable implants is being wide awake and fully conscious for the fill-up sessions. Unlike the initial surgery where they wheel you in an A cup and wheel you out a C cup (or whatever), during the fill-up sessions you're sitting on the doctor's exam table feeling your boobs grow heavier as the doc pumps on the syringe, and watching your boobs grow right in front of your eyes !

I have great boobs. Cute, perky, symmetrical... and barely a size A. It's kind of a weird feeling when you look in the preteen section for bras. Especially when a 10 year-old says, "Look Mom, that one's cute!" And then you're like, ooh... that is cute. And I've been the same size since I was 13 (coincidentally, the age that I began saving up for implants).

The best boob jobs I have seen were all on women who had children or lost weight before they had their boobs done. I think having the room really makes a huge difference (no pun intended).

well i'm a case in which I had D boobs, then I got prego and went up to a DD and then I lost weight and went down to a B cup, and now i'm a D cup after the BA, and my breast are starting to look VERY natural. They look like the boobs I had in high school. I'm starting to love them more everyday. It's only been a month since i've got these and they are great I feel that I got my job at the right age 27 and for the right reason...my tits were very droopy and saggy.

I had very little breast tissue and went from an A to a D. I think it helped that I got High Profiles--they look alot better on girls with small ribcages. I think the best advice is to do tons of research. I researched doctors, looked at tons of pictures online, read implant info constantly, and wore stuffed bras for about a year and a half before I got my surgery. Don't rush into in and know what you are getting into! Good luck Jenna

Once again thank you girls and thank you Jenna! I've seen some amazing boob jobs on women who had children too, but I simply cannot wait that long. I was planning having them done sometime in the end of next year, so I have a lot of time to research for the best doctor I can find. I have a tons of question and I'm a bit nervous about the whole thing.

I used to work at a plastic surgeon's office.

BE VERY CAREFUL of going too large, too quickly, esp if you are prone to stretch marks. I've seen people go too large too quickly, and end up with really bad stretch marks all over their breasts. I've seen women bawling their eyes out trying to see if there is a fix for their stretch marks and there isn't.

Also, some women need a breast lift more than a boob augmentation, or both.

Thanks for the warning Kittenkat, it would be terrible ending up with stretch marks.
