Can anyone recommend a good ant-aging cream and/or lotion? I was going to buy some from Olay for about 17 bucks unless someone can recommend anything better for maybe around the same price.

Oh, i dont have a issue. lol. i'm only 18. I just want to get a head start on not looking old.

Suncreen !
You want the best ever anti-aging thing you can use at your young age... SUNSCREEN!
I can't tell you how many articles and what-not have been written about how wearing/using sunscreen regularly even if you don't go outside alot is the best investment into 'anti-aging' that you can do.
If you do not 'worship the sun' and only spend a small amount of time in the sun (or outside in any capacity as the harmful UV is still around on the cloudiest of days), then go for SPF 15+ ..... if you are a sun worshipper or spend a decent amount of time outside then go for SPF 30+
You'll thank me when you're my age (27)![]()

MD Formulations makes a GREAT sunscreen. It's an spf 15 for face. non irritating. I use it everyday. You can order it from Bliss.

I was going to suggest that Benefit had this stuff and I used to use it. Its non greasy and made my skin super soft. Also by the same people a foundation and it went on really light. Oh yea and all over sunscreen by those people. It doesnt smell like SPF b/c its lightly fragranted so you wont stink like it.

I don't know - I think this is same as with the pheremones. I would love for it to be true, because I am getting to the age where I have "fine lines around my eyes" that all the commercials warn me about, but I have difficulty believing in "youth in a bottle." - I think I just have to learn to love them. I think sun protection is your best preventative bet - sunglasses and sunscreen. (Aveeno. I love all things Aveeno. Except the scented ones. Those I don't like as much).

Bingo. Those anti-aging creams/lotions do very little to nothing, but sunscreen is REALLY important. The best sunscreen being made right now is not available in the United States unfortunately.Originally Posted by GoldCoastGirl

That really helps alot! Sunscreen is definitly less expensive then those 'anti-ageing' things. If i knew that was all it took, i would have went out and bought some already! I am going to Wal-mart 2marro!! thanks agian. everyone here is always so helpful

Your 'diet' does come into it as well to a certain extent however sunscreen will definately help you prevent any age-ing to your skin that shouldn't occur pre-maturely.
I even wear sunscreen when using solariums... granted then it takes longer for a tan to happen on my skin (I've olive skin) however, at least, I'm not damaging my skin too much by this activity compared to going 'bare'.

I would reccmmened layering your SPF on top of a good basic moisturizer. Neutrogena Healthy defense contains time fighting antioxidents which help combat environmental aggressors besides UVA/UVB exposure and it's very inexpensive. Although sunlight is your skins worst ememy, smoke and other pollutants play an important role in the weakening of collegen and elastin fibers in the skin.

I THOUGHT OF 2 OTHER THINGS:
(Damn that caps lock! My cat must've sat on it . . .)
1) Don't smoke. Seriously.
2) Use Olive oil to take of your eye makeup. It has almost completely eliminates my tiny eye-lines in a few months. I can only imagine what it can do as a preventative.
